POC Ireland is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Abdullah Tariq as Sports Secretary of the POC Ireland Dublin Chapter.

Mr. Abdullah Tariq is a finance professional and qualified accountant with an international background. Born in Hong Kong, raised in the United Kingdom, and proudly of Pakistani origin, he brings a diverse perspective and strong professional experience to the POC Ireland team.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting and a Master's degree in Islamic Banking and Finance from Manchester. He is a fully qualified CIMA and CGMA accountant and currently works with Irish Life, where he contributes his expertise in finance, accounting, and business operations.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Tariq is widely recognised within the Pakistani community for his passion and commitment to sports. A talented wicketkeeper and all rounder, he has represented numerous teams and has achieved significant success in both indoor and outdoor cricket competitions. Throughout the years, he has won multiple tournaments and has earned several Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards, establishing himself as one of the most respected cricketers within the community.

A dedicated fitness enthusiast and active sportsman, Mr. Tariq strongly believes in the importance of sports for physical wellbeing, teamwork, leadership, and community engagement. His friendly personality, positive attitude, and ability to connect with people make him an ideal fit for this role.

As Sports Secretary, Mr. Tariq will lead sports related initiatives within POC Ireland, helping organise tournaments, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage community participation, and strengthen connections through sporting activities across Ireland.
