CAO Offers Day - but remember, this is just the beginning!

If you’re getting your CAO offer today, you might be feeling excited, nervous, relieved, or perhaps a mixture of all three. Whatever your results, there are options available to you.

Whether you’re heading to college, considering an apprenticeship, looking at further education and training, exploring employment, or simply not sure what you want to do next, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

At Northside Partnership, guidance, support and assistance is available to young people as they explore their next steps and find the path that’s right for them.

· Your CAO result does not define your future.

· There are many different routes to success.

· And whatever path you choose, support is available.

If you’re unsure about your options or would like some help planning your next step, get in touch with Northside Partnership. We’re here to help you navigate what comes next. Contact Paul Hayes at 01 848 5630 or at [email protected] to find out more.

We are delighted to have been awarded a grant from Dublin City Council's Climate Action Plan for our continued investment in sustainability through our Eco Pockets project. We will be installing a hydroponic system to grow food without soil and upgrading our polytunnels.

These initiatives support our community through Community Education programmes and support to local food banks.

Well done to the team for making it happen.

Breathe Into Light – Summer Solstice Reset Workshop
In the days leading up to the Summer Solstice, we gathered in Kish House for a deeply nourishing Breathe Into Light workshop - a space designed to pause, reset, and reconnect with ourselves and each other.

The Summer Solstice is traditionally a time of reflection, renewal, and intention setting - a natural turning point in the year where we are invited to slow down, release what no longer serves us, and consciously set direction for the season ahead.

This workshop brought together NSP staff, community group workers, participants from Social Prescribing, and Steps to Excellence alumni, with both men and women attending across a wide age range (mid-20's to 70's), creating a rich and inclusive shared experience.

The feedback from the morning speaks for itself:
People described it as “nourishing, thought provoking and uplifting”, “a much needed reset”, and “like a big group therapy session”. Many shared that they left feeling calmer, more positive, re-energised, and clearer in their intentions for the months ahead.

Others reflected on the value of:
Having time to truly pause and reflect
Feeling safe, relaxed, and welcomed in group sharing
Learning practical tools to retrain thinking and manage stress
Reconnecting with a sense of calm, purpose, and direction

There was also a strong sense that spaces like this are deeply needed, not just as a one-off experience, but as an ongoing support for wellbeing, connection, and growth.

Most importantly, the morning reminded us of something simple but powerful:
when we slow down together, we create space for clarity, healing, and possibility.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed so openly and honestly.

Here’s to carrying that light forward into the season ahead.

Men's Health Week runs from Monday 15th to Sunday 21st June.

Our Empowering Communities team focused on men's health this week, filling their leaflet stands with information relevant to men's health and promoting the week around the community with flyers and posters.

They hosted a coffee morning to promote Men's Health Awareness for people working in the Darndale Belcamp Village Centre or people in the area, including a free raffle for the men who attended.

It was a great morning with the lads enjoying cake, tea and best of all, loads of chats.

Today we launched our Pre-Budget Submission 2027 in Buswells, Dublin.

Our message to Government is clear: Budget 2027 must match ambition with investment.

Local Development Companies work in every part of Ireland, rural, urban and island communities, supporting people, community groups and social enterprises to tackle poverty, disadvantage, isolation and barriers to opportunity. The submission sets out practical, targeted investment asks to strengthen this work locally and nationally.

We are calling for:

✅ €6.1m increase for SICAP to support work tackling poverty and disadvantage
✅ €10m secured annually for integration supports for new arrivals
✅ €10.2m additional funding for LEADER to support rural enterprise and community projects
✅ €12m investment in Tús/RSS to sustain essential local services
✅ €500k to expand Rural Recreation Officers, supporting tourism, trails and local amenities

We also recommend basing wider Sláintecare Healthy Communities rollout on a strengthened implementation and funding model.

These are focused, deliverable investments that will help communities thrive.

We are asking elected representatives and Government to support this submission and to back the local development work that makes a real difference every day in communities across Ireland.
