TONIGHT SEPTEMBER POTY JUDGING - 8pm start.

This months competition is a PRINT competition and has the theme "SPORT ”.

83 printed and mounted images were submitted.
We look forward to seeing these images this week and to hear the comments of our judge, Conor O’Brien from Malahide Camera Club.

The Camera Club is always delighted to support community projects and during the summer months, some of our members captured a fun evening with Tesco, Cabra at their annual football match.

We are delighted to play our small part by documenting these special community moments through photography and helping to shine a light on the fantastic work being done for Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Oscar’s Kids, and Bumbleance.

Our club members were out capturing the action at the Dublin City Liffey Swim 2026! 🏊‍♂️📸

On Saturday, 12 September, hundreds of swimmers took on the 2.2km tidal course through the heart of Dublin, passing beneath the city’s iconic bridges from Rory O’Moore Bridge to Custom House Quay.

A truly unique sporting event on the Liffey!

September Guest Speaker – Ita Martin

Tonight, we are delighted to welcome Ita Martin, our September guest speaker.

Ita is an accomplished Nature and Wildlife photographer and one of only three Irish photographers to hold the prestigious EFIAP/d3 (Excellence FIAP Diamond 3) distinction from the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).

Ita will share her experiences of travelling through India, giving us an insight into her nature photography, the places she has visited, and the wildlife she has captured along the way.

We look forward to an inspiring evening of photography, travel and wildlife with Ita.

A fantastic summer evening in the Phoenix Park, spent photographing two beautiful four-legged models! 🐾📸

A huge thank you to Alan Finn for bringing along Fia and Poppy, who were absolute stars in front of the camera and gave our members a wonderful opportunity to practise capturing action, personality and those perfect expressions.

Camera club outings like these are all about learning together, sharing ideas and enjoying photography in great company. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable evening.
