So, another update on things happening here.
We have completed phase 1 of our drainage project and now are moving on upgrading our isolation kennel.
We are lining the walls and ceiling with insulated plasterboard and then after we will cover all in the hygienic sheeting to truly give us a 1st class kennel space.
We don't have sufficient funds for the sheeting yet but step by step We will get there.

On Saturday 21st November a fabulous group, The Wood of O, are playing a special gig to fundraise for us. And they will be joined by Eleanor Burke who is a Druid, Seanchaí and teller of Mythology.
It promises to be a very captivating night for all who make it up the hill to Kilcash.

On the 12th September, a fantastic auction and fundraiser organised by Eva and Souls4Souls came to a spectacular finish. Altogether they have raised €18,000 to share between us, Great Hounds in Need, My lovely Horse Rescue and Deel Sighthound rescue.

From the bottom of our hearts we say a massive thanks to each and every one of the item donors, the bidders, the organisers both in the front line and also those supporting in the background.

We are very touched by your support for Souls4Souls who do extraordinary work for many rescues also in Spain and Romania and even in Turkey. Wherever there are hounds needing help, Souls4Souls can be found nearby trying to help.

This just was posted an hour ago on a Connemara Notice group page

"For the past few years from September onwards (on a Thursday night normally) a group or groups come to the beaches in Connemara from outside the Connemara area and catch Hares... you'll see the lights on the beaches they'll be running Hares into nets and taking them for coursing... If you see this going on ring the Clifden Guards."

If you are in Connemara, please do what you can to help the protected species that is the Irish Hare. Obviously be mindful with any interactions that might happen

We have only ever posted photos of Buck up to now, and he still has not been offered a home because he is not good with other breeds of dogs, yet. However he is a beautiful happy soul and certainly is good with female greyhounds.
Here he is meeting with new volunteers and old. Sara from Sweden, Anna from Germany and her son. He never met Anna and her son before.
Does he look adoptable to you guys ☺️
PS I really like him....
