Cahir Community Hall – Major Refurbishment Works

Cahir Community Hall, formerly known as the Parochial Hall, has been at the heart of community life for well over 100 years. Over the decades it has hosted Scout Jamborees, hugely popular pantomimes, Cahir Dramatic Society productions, dances, Tops of the Town, teenage discos, bring-and-buy sales, country markets, bingo nights and even cinema showings. Today, it continues to be a valued space for meetings, events, classes, sports, social gatherings and celebrations for people of all ages.

To ensure the Hall remains safe, welcoming and fit for purpose for future generations, essential refurbishment works are now underway. These works include much-needed improvements to the building, facilities and overall accessibility. The refurbishment commenced on 4th February, and it is hoped the Hall will reopen by the end of April, allowing all groups to return.

Thanks to grant funding and tremendous volunteer effort, this important project has begun. However, Cahir Developments Association now relies on the generosity of the wider community to help complete the works. A further €150,000 needs to be raised.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. All contributions will go directly towards ensuring Cahir Community Hall continues to thrive as a vibrant community hub.

Upcoming Fundraisers

❤️ Valentine’s Day Hamper Raffle at Woodview Service Station (Noel O’Donnell’s) on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th February

⛪ Church Gate Collection on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February, before Masses

More fundraising events are planned, and a GoFundMe page will be launched shortly

Cahir Developments Association would be deeply grateful for your support, encouragement and generosity.
Thank you for helping to secure the future of Cahir Community Hall.

All-Ireland Intermediate Club Final 🏆

Upperchurch Drombane are champions after an unforgettable 84 minutes of hurling.

It finished
Upperchurch Drombane 4-20
Toreen 2-24

An injury-time free forced extra time, but once it went beyond the hour, Upperchurch Drombane took over, finding another level when it mattered most and driving on to climb the steps of the Hogan Stand.

Huge congratulations to Upperchurch Drombane, All-Ireland Intermediate Club champions.

Hard luck to Toreen, beaten in two All-Ireland Intermediate Club finals in three years, a tough ending for a side that gave absolutely everything.

There will be some night in the Church tonight 🟡⚫🔥
