Founded in 2004 by a core group of cancer survivors in the Carlow area Éist has been providing support for cancer patients, their families and carers on both a group level and on a one to one basis since. As a registered charity (16678) we have worked to provide ongoing emotional
support and practical help to all our members, their families and friends when dealing with cancer diagnosis, going t

hrough treatments and on the road to recovery thereafter. We also provide information and education for the general public through seminars, workshops and open forums. Being fully affiliated with the Irish Cancer Society we provide a free confidential professional service to all our members. We are local people working with passion and determination for people affected by cancer in the whole Carlow region.

Éist’s objectives are:
1. To provide emotional support to all those affected by cancer of all types.
2. To provide accredited counselling, reflexology and other Irish Cancer Society approved complimentary
therapies to service users.
3. To provide information and education for the general public through seminars, workshops and media
coverage.
5. To provide a quality, confidential service for all our clients.
6. To enable the person with a cancer diagnosis to gain control of their lives, to enhance their coping skills and

💄Look Good Feel Better Ireland visited Éist this week, delivering a practical and uplifting workshop for people going through cancer treatment. 💕

The session focuses on skincare and makeup techniques to help manage the visible side effects of treatment, offering a bit of normality and a confidence boost in a relaxed and supportive space.

A huge thank you to Sean Mathews and Niall McDonald, Transition Year students in Presentation De La Salle,Bagenalstown, who organised a fantastic tractor run for their school and kindly chose Éist as a beneficiary. We are absolutely thrilled to have received €2,805.00.

We would also like to acknowledge the incredible hard work of the teachers, parents, students and volunteers who helped make the event such a success.

Every euro raised for Éist goes directly towards providing free emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer in Carlow and the surrounding areas. As a non‑profit organisation, we remain committed to ensuring that no one faces cancer alone, and that all of our services continue to be offered completely free of charge.
