👏👏

Photo attached shows JoJo & Mary presenting a cheque for €1,000 to the Beaumont Hospital Foundation. Our Water Safety Ireland - Carlow Gala raffle this year raised almost €500, which was generously matched by Bagenalstown Swimming Club on the day.

The team at the Beaumont Hospital Foundation do amazing work day in, day out, and we at the swimming club are delighted to support them. We are also very glad to see JoJo getting on so well. A huge thank you to everyone who supported our raffle and helped make this donation possible.

When heading out for a swim or dip remember these 'Hot Tips for Cold Water'

1. Look Up: check the weather and marine forecast before heading out
2. Gear Up: wear a brightly coloured swim cap, bring a brightly coloured tow float, and if you need some extra warmth, wear neoprene booties and gloves
3. Buddy Up: Always swim with another person and stay within your depth
4. Warm Up: Get dressed quickly afterwards in warm, dry layers
