We have two dedicated days to get involved, and 100% of the funds raised go straight into local dementia care, respite, and family support systems across Mayo, Galway, and Roscommon.

💼 Corporate Challenge: Friday, 11th September 2026. Gather a team of 4 to 10 colleagues, swap your screens for fresh air, and raise crucial funds for local families.

🏡 Family & Community Climb: Saturday, 12th September 2026. Open to everyone! Bring your friends, family, or hiking club to help us hit our fundraising goals.

Incredible community support in memory of Micilin Tess McDonagh

A massive congratulations and thank you to Trisha McDonagh, who organised another highly successful Truck and Tractor Run in loving memory of her late father, Micilin Tess McDonagh.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, hard work, and support, an incredible €4,510.00 was raised and presented to Western Alzheimers. This vital donation will go directly toward supporting families and individuals living with Alzheimer's in our community. A huge well done to Trisha, the drivers, the helpers, and everyone who donated or supported the event in any way. You have done Micilin proud!

🗓️ Event 2: A Night at Bourke's
Where: Bourke's, Irishtown
When: Saturday, 26th September 2026
What: Live music, a prize draw, and raffle tickets on sale on the night!

State-of-the-Art Day Care Respite Vacancies Available Now!

✨Western Alzheimers is pleased to offer immediate day care respite vacancies at our newly extended, state-of-the-art facility: Marian House – The Joe and Helen O’Toole Respite Home in Ballindine, Co. Mayo.

🏡Designed around your family's schedule, we offer a safe, welcoming, and flexible day-drop format so you can take a much-needed break.
💙What we offer:
🩺 Dementia-specialist nurse-led
🍲 Nutritious, freshly prepared meals
🎨 Tailored social & stimulating activities

Logistics:🚗 Drop off your loved one in the morning, collect them later that day.
📅 Available: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
⏰ Hours: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Take a break knowing your loved one is safe, happy, and fully supported close to home.
