This block of apartments is being rented out by John Connors, a Kildare landlord with multiple properties and even more RTB rulings against him. Despite this, he continues to rent out hazardous apartments and houses throughout the county.
Recently, CATU Kildare met a number of his tenants in the building who complained about his negligence. One of these tenants, a mother of a child with disabilities, told us of how a boiler leak went unfixed for 3 months despite multiple requests to fix it. She provided us with these photos of the shocking preexisting conditions in the apartment, all of which were raised with Mr. Connors but ignored. Eventually, after months of fighting, she was forced into emergency accommodation.
