On behalf of the Athy Tidy Towns Committee, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to wife Mottie, sons and daughters Mary, Linda, James and Darren, grandchildren Heidi, Winnie and Daisie, great granddaughter Darcie, and to all the Byrne family and friends on the very sad passing of Jimmy Byrne. 💔

Jimmy was a valued member and supporter of Athy Tidy Towns for so many years. His dedication to our community was truly immeasurable.

For over 25 years, Jimmy was a huge part of our Annual River Clean, giving his time, energy and commitment year after year to help keep Athy beautiful and our River Barrow clean.

His contribution to Athy Tidy Towns, and to the wider community, can never be underestimated.

We are so grateful for all the years of friendship, hard work and memories.

Thank you, Jimmy, for everything you did for Athy Tidy Towns and for our community. You will never be forgotten. ❤️

🌿 It’s fantastic to see the new wheelchair-friendly tables and seating being installed at the Barrow Quay in Athy.

A wonderful addition that will make the area more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. 👏

Well done to Kildare County Council ,public realm team and to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. It’s great to see accessibility and inclusion being prioritised in our town. ❤️🤍
