Congratulations to all Traveller and Roma students receiving their CAO offers today.

Whether you got your first choice, a lower preference, or not the offer you were hoping for, completing the Leaving Certificate is a significant achievement in itself.

If you did not get the course you wanted, it is not the end of the road. Round two offers are still to come (Sept. 7th), and Further Education and Training remains a strong and well-established route into higher education. Post Leaving Certificate courses and tertiary degree programmes delivered through your local Education and Training Board can lead directly into degree study, in many cases without CAO points. Contact your local ETB for course information and application dates.

For anyone thinking about how to fund the next step, there are bursaries, scholarships and supports available to Traveller and Roma students that can ease the financial cost of third level.

We have compiled a list of some of these on our website: https://www.paveepoint.ie/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/Student-Supports-2026-2027.docx
