Athlone Today Presenter Ryan Shelvane is joined by Christine O'Mahony, who talks about the Heartlands Pride Parade taking place in Athlone on the 6th June 2026.
This will be the first ever Pride Parade in Athlone and is in memory of the late Michael Woods who was the first person in Athlone to organise LBGT focus events in the Town.
The parade begins at 1pm, starting at Walsh's pub (Connaught Street) and finishing in Burgess Park.

May Music Marathon 2026, Live Outside Broadcast under the Canopy at Athlone Civic Centre, bringing an amazing atmosphere to the town centre.

Hosted by Livewires presenter Tadhg Kelleher, the outdoor broadcast showcases fantastic local talent and vibrant music throughout.
