This inspiring handbook shows how children across Europe are actively involved in preventing violence 💙

Children already understand violence - what they need is space, support, and a real voice.

Across 48 projects in 9 countries, children are not just participants, but co-creators and leaders. 🙌 From art 🎨 and theatre 🎭 to digital tools 📱, they help design and shape solutions that affect them.

The message is simple but powerful:
✔️ Meaningful participation must be respectful, inclusive, and safe 🛡️
✔️ When children are truly involved, projects are stronger 🌱

🌱 Strengthening advocacy, together in Nepal

Last week in Nagarkot (25–27 May), Nepal we had the chance to step back, reflect, and learn with our partners during a Capacity Strengthening Training organized by Terre des hommes - Nepal.

Over 2.5 days, participants explored a simple but powerful question: what does advocacy really mean in practice? One honest takeaway stood out: many of us are already doing the work, but not always in a structured.

Through open discussions and practical exercises, participants explored:
👉 what advocacy really means in practice
👉 how to plan it more intentionally
👉 and why clear, strong messaging matters so much

It was also a great space to learn from each other 🤝 - with participants from Change Action Nepal, Geruwa Rural Awareness Association, Shanti Foundation, CWIN, Maiti Nepal, and Tdh team members all bringing different perspectives.

Stronger local capacity = stronger impact 🤝🌍

In Mali, Terre des hommes (Tdh), with support from FHRAOC, is working hand in hand with AID LOCAL to strengthen humanitarian action where it matters most.

From April 20–30 in Bamako, AID LOCAL teams deepened their skills in project management, community engagement, and MEAL 📊
They also took a step back to assess how they work, especially how they listen and respond to communities 🔍

Rooted across Mopti, Tombouctou, Gao, and Ségou 🇲🇱, AID LOCAL supports vulnerable communities facing food insecurity, climate challenges, and limited opportunities, driven by strong local knowledge and commitment.

This training led to a clear action plan ✅, backed by ongoing technical support.
