The final session of the Compulsory RO-CPD Training for the Assessment Period 2025/2026, co-organized by the Insurance Authority (IA) and HKCIB, was successfully held on 22 June.

The session opened with an insightful presentation by Mr. Peter Gregoire, Consultant (Legal and Conduct Supervision) at the IA, who shared key perspectives on the roles of responsible officers, Conduct Requirements, and Control Areas. This was followed by Mr. Mark Stevens, Partner at Deacons, who delivered an overview of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance and important regulatory issues for insurance brokers. The session concluded with practical guidance from our Secretary-General, Ms. Yvonne Lam, on drafting an effective compliance manual. Special thanks also go to our General Committee Member, Ms. Karen Lieu, for her excellent moderation of the session.

We are thrilled to have successfully co-organized the 1st Hong Kong Insurance Companies vs. Insurance Intermediaries Golf Challenge 2026 with the Chinese Underwriters Club (CUC)! Held in Zhuhai on 23 April, the event brought together over 30 industry professionals for an exciting day of friendly competition, followed by a lively networking dinner.

The Compulsory RO-CPD Training for Assessment Period 2025/2026, co-organized by the Insurance Authority (IA) and HKCIB, was successfully held on 1 April.
