With over 40 years of international business leadership, Mr. Tuli brings extensive experience, global connections, and a strong personal commitment to philanthropy. Earlier this year, he took on a five-day trek to Mardi Himal in Nepal, raising over HK$240,000 to support AFCR's cancer research mission. His dedication reflects a shared belief that meaningful progress begins with taking action.

🔬 AFCR支持的口腔癌研究取得重要進展！
最新公布的第二期臨床試驗結果顯示，一種能將抗癌藥物直接輸送至口腔病變組織的創新貼片，在非侵襲性口腔癌及高度癌前病變的治療上取得重要成果：
✅ 95.5%達到病理完全緩解： 22名患者中，有21人在接受一個療程後，治療部位的病理檢查未發現殘留病變。
✅ 全部22名患者均無需接受原定手術。
✅ 中位數14個月的隨訪期間，未觀察到復發。
對於可能需要反覆接受口腔手術，甚至影響說話、進食及吞嚥功能的患者而言，這項進展為未來創傷較小的治療方式帶來新希望。

🔬 AFCR-Supported Oral Cancer Research Marks Important Progress!
New Phase 2 clinical trial results highlight the potential of an innovative medicated patch that delivers anticancer drugs directly to affected oral tissue, offering a less invasive approach to treating non-invasive oral cancer and high-grade precancerous lesions.
✅ 95.5% achieved a complete response: 21 of 22 patients had no remaining disease detected in the treated areas after one treatment cycle.
✅ All 22 patients avoided their planned surgery.
✅ No recurrences were observed at a median follow-up of 14 months.
For patients who may otherwise face repeated oral surgeries, this progress offers hope for less invasive treatment options that could help preserve speaking, eating, and swallowing abilities—and improve quality of life.

Cancer is taking lives every day. We need to accelerate progress.

At World Cancer Congress 2026 in Hong Kong, global leaders came together around a critical challenge: how to prevent more cancers, detect them earlier, and help more patients survive.

In Hong Kong, about 40 people die from cancer every day. Worldwide, approximately one in five people will develop cancer during their lifetime, with annual new cancer cases projected to approach 35 million by 2050.

At the Asian Fund for Cancer Research Limited (AFCR), we support research aimed at finding cancer earlier and developing more effective treatments. We also help promising discoveries move from the laboratory toward clinical studies—an essential step in determining whether a new approach can safely and effectively help patients.

For a family facing cancer, a discovery’s true value is the difference it may eventually make in their loved one’s life.
