【Please scroll down for English version】本講座探討當代劇場創作者如何以歷史與傳統作為創作題材及藝術方法。兩位藝術家以不同方式處理這些課題，探索過去如何成為當代表演中實驗與批判反思的場域。

Mark Teh 以歷史研究為文獻劇場的基礎，重訪馬來西亞被忽略或具爭議的時刻，將檔案轉化為表演，邀請觀眾重新思考集體記憶與國家敘事。

Norzizi Zulkifli 則從形式入手，審視並重新想像傳統劇場結構，轉化既有表演語彙，開創新的劇場可能性。

講座將突顯兩位藝術家如何以不同路徑進入過去，透過討論其創作過程與策略，反思深度參與歷史與傳統的劇場作品，如何超越懷舊，成為想像未來與質疑當下的批判工具。

This session examines how contemporary theatre practitioners engage with history and tradition as both subject matter and artistic methodology. Bringing together two artists whose work intersects with these themes in different ways, the discussion explores how the past can become a productive site for experimentation and critical reflection in contemporary performance.

Mark Teh frequently draws upon historical research as the foundation of his documentary theatre practice, revisiting overlooked or contested moments in Malaysian history and transforming archival material into performance that invites audiences to reconsider collective memory and national narratives.

Meanwhile, Norzizi Zulkifli approaches the past through form rather than content. Her work interrogates and reimagines traditional theatre structures, exploring how inherited performance vocabularies might be transformed to generate new theatrical possibilities.

Although content and form are inseparable in performance, this session highlights how each artist prioritises a different entry point into the past. Through discussion of their creative processes, artistic strategies, and conceptual considerations, the panel will reflect on how theatre that engages deeply with history and tradition can move beyond nostalgia and instead offer critical tools for imagining the future and questioning the present.

香港1980年代外國劇本的粵語翻譯轉向——以黎翠珍與陳鈞潤為例

//黎氏和陳氏的處理明顯是為了配合演出效果，所以從翻譯的角度首先幫劇本做了語言的調節。他們的調節不僅僅是用粵語，而是用某一時代的香港式粵語。如果要翻譯的劇本比較有時代感，他們這一點處理就很能見出譯者的語言功力。不過反過來說，如果劇本不是這種形態，可能語言調節的要求就沒那麼高了。//

國際演藝評論家協會（香港分會） 成立超過三十年，一直以「發展卓越藝評．整理演藝歷程」為目標，除了致力提升藝評水平、培訓新進藝評人外，同時亦重視整存和活化表演藝術的歷史與知識，促進交流與討論。

多年來，我們與世界不同地方、不同演藝範疇的文化組織和藝術家，保持密切而且有機的聯繫，創建了很多可持續發展的交流平台。為進一步實現本會的願景與使命，本會董事局邀請三位香港資深藝評人和藝術工作者，包括丘思詠女士、林萬儀女士和洪思行先生，加入成為董事局成員，三位欣然答允。我們現正式宣佈並熱烈歡迎丘思詠女士、林萬儀女士和洪思行先生，在今年五月加入本年度（2025-27）董事局。

⭐丘思詠女士

資深舞蹈藝術工作者，專注舞蹈教育及舞蹈書寫。任敎於香港教育大學及嶺南大學等。
積極進行舞蹈研究及書寫工作。委約她的機構包括香港藝術發展局、西九文化區、康樂及文化事務署等。現任香港舞蹈聯盟理事委員會委員，亦為香港藝術發展局舞蹈界別、藝術教育及藝術評論的審批員。

⭐林萬儀女士

香港戲曲學術、教育、評論工作者，藝術人文平台《藝術當下》主編，曾任（香港）嶺南大學群芳文化研究及發展部副研究員、文化研究系兼任講師，香港演藝學院戲曲學院、舞台及製作藝術學院兼任教師等。

⭐洪思行先生

樂評人、香港藝術發展獎2017藝術新秀獎（藝術評論）得獎者、香港藝術發展局審批員（音樂）、國際演藝評論家協會（香港分會）專業會員、無伴奏合唱組合Zense A Cappella成員，編有《香港古典音樂年鑑》（2014及2015），文章散見於《星島日報》、《明報》、《南華早報》等。

本會期待與丘思詠女士、林萬儀女士和洪思行先生攜手合作，開展更多的可能性，繼續實現本會的願景與使命。

【Please scroll down for English version】本講座以批判視角審視馬來西亞劇場，探討主流敘事如何形塑其面貌。關於馬來西亞劇場的討論，往往集中於吉隆坡的馬來語及英語製作，忽略國內其他充滿活力的劇場生態。來自砂拉越大學的 Azri Ali將分享砂拉越劇場的發展與文化脈絡，反思單一「國家」劇場敘事的局限。Amelia Tan則將剖析馬來西亞華語劇場的美學關注、觀眾社群及其對當代社會議題的回應。

透過並置這兩個視角，講座提出關鍵提問：究竟什麼構成了馬來西亞劇場？當論述持續偏重特定語言、地域與機構，許多劇場實踐將在國家層面的討論中被邊緣化。講者將共同探討如何重新審視以半島為中心的敘事，並思考另類劇場實踐如何回應國家議題、協商共同掙扎，為馬來西亞的文化景觀作出貢獻。

This session offers a critical overview of Malaysian theatre through the lens of dominant narratives that have historically shaped its discourse. Discussions often centre on Malay- and English-language productions staged in Kuala Lumpur, overlooking other vibrant theatrical ecosystems across the country.
The panel brings together perspectives outside this dominant centre. Azri Ali (Universiti Malaysia Sarawak) will discuss recent developments in Sarawak theatre, highlighting local movements that challenge a single "national" narrative. Amelia Tan will share insights from Chinese-language theatre in Malaysia, reflecting on its aesthetics, audiences, and engagement with contemporary issues.
By juxtaposing these perspectives, the session asks: What constitutes Malaysian theatre? If discourse continues to privilege certain languages, locations, and institutions, many practices remain underrepresented. This discussion seeks to reconsider the Peninsular-centric narrative and explore how alternative practices address national concerns, negotiate shared struggles, and contribute to Malaysia's cultural landscape.

我們敬重的鍾景輝博士在2026年6月3日於家中辭世。

鍾景輝博士是香港演藝發展的先驅人物，他代表了一個時代的香港演藝，從上世紀六十年代開始，透過翻譯當代劇場作品的和引介當代表演體系，推動了本地劇場發展的創造力，打開了劇場人和觀眾對戲劇的全新視野。

King Sir一直支持《香港戲劇年鑑》的出版，並在2017年為我們的「香港戲劇資料庫暨口述歷史計劃﹙第一期﹚」，於培正中學進行拍攝，娓娓道來他和劇場的因緣，也分享了一件「戲劇人生路上具代表性的物件」。讓我們透過這些片段，懷念劇場大師King Sir。

典藏的構作：表演藝術的保育、再現與詮釋
Dramaturgies of Collecting: Conserving, Restaging, and Interpreting the Performing Arts

2024年6月，本會舉辦國際表演藝術圖書館、博物館與資料館協會（SIBMAS）國際研討會，是來自世界各地圖書館、博物館及資料館的專家和從業員，以及藝術家、策展人、製作人、藝術行政人員和藝評人的交流盛會。該次研討會以「典藏的構作：表演藝術的保育、再現與詮釋」為主題，包含了專題演講、個案研討，以及不同主題的論文發表，共有五十多位講者分享他們對表演藝術紀錄的工作和願景。籌備兩年，多位講者的研究成果終於結集成書，讓對表演藝術整存工作有興趣的讀者可以深入探索全球表演藝術保育的多元面貌與前瞻視野。

表演藝術的創意領域正不斷擴展，隨著科技進步與人工智能的發展，跨領域的全新可能隨之開啟。這些推動力不僅突破了想像力的邊界，更重塑了我們創作、參與和理解表演的方式。在此背景下，藝術家、學者、專業人士、從業員與愛好者，以及圖書館專員、檔案專員、收藏家與策展人，在保存與呈現表演藝術豐富的樣貌及其興起歷史時，正面臨著複雜的挑戰。典藏的「構作」——選材、策劃、展示與再現的策略——揭示了我們為傳承未來守護表演藝術的願景。本論文集探討了文獻紀錄與典藏的構作方式，如何回應表演生態的轉變以及社會格局的演變，在開闢通往新觀眾群的途徑之際，同時催生嶄新的視角與詮釋。

In June 2024, the IATC(HK) hosted the International Association of Libraries, Museums, Archives and Documentation Centres of the Performing Arts (SIBMAS) Conference. This grand event brought together experts and practitioners from libraries, museums, and archives worldwide, as well as artists, curators, producers, arts administrators, and art critics. Centred around the theme “Dramaturgies of Collecting: Conserving, Restaging, and Interpreting the Performing Arts”, the conference featured keynote lectures, thematic talks, and paper presentations on various topics. Over 50 speakers shared their work and vision regarding performing arts documentation. Following two years of preparation, this newly published book brings together the insightful research findings of many speakers, allowing readers to deeply explore the diverse perspectives and forward-looking visions of global performing arts conservation.

The ever-expanding creative landscape of the performing arts continues to open new possibilities across disciplines, propelled by technological advances and the evolving potential of artificial intelligence. These forces push the limits of imagination and reshape how we create, experience, and understand performance. At the same time, artists, academics, professionals, practitioners, and enthusiasts—alongside librarians, archivists, collectors, and curators—face complex challenges in preserving and presenting the rich tapestry of performing arts and its emerging history. The “dramaturgies” of collecting—understood as the strategies of selecting, curating, showcasing, and representing—reveal our visions for safeguarding the performing arts for the future. The papers in this volume examine how dramaturgical approaches to documentation and collection respond to the transforming ecology of performance and the shifting dynamics of society, generating new perspectives and interpretations while opening pathways to new audiences.
