We provide transformative workshops and community-driven support programs dedicated to the holistic empowerment of women, girls and youth and the advancement of gender equity. Through our workshops and programs, girls, women and their families develop the knowledge, skills, and courage they need to make informed life choices and reach their highest potential. We run all of our programs in partnership with local schools and organizations in some of Guatemala’s most marginalized and at-risk communities.

Un mundo donde todos los individuos, familias y comunidades se unan para apoyar la seguridad y el empoderamiento de niñas y mujeres, y co-crear sociedades prósperas basadas en los principios de equidad, autonomía, e interconexión.

¿Qué hacemos? Ofrecemos talleres transformadores y servicios de apoyo dedicados al empoderamiento integral de mujeres, niñas y jóvenes, así como al avance de la equidad de género. A través de nuestros talleres y programas, las niñas, mujeres y sus familias desarrollan el conocimiento, las habilidades y el valor que necesitan para tomar decisiones informadas en sus vidas y alcanzar su máximo potencial. Ejecutamos todos nuestros programas en asociación con escuelas y organizaciones locales en algunas de las comunidades más marginadas y en riesgo de Guatemala.

En SERniña estamos buscando una persona para liderar nuestra gestión contable y administrativa.

Buscamos a alguien con compromiso, orden y mucha claridad para garantizar el uso transparente de nuestros recursos y aportar al impacto de nuestros programas.

📌 Perfil del puesto:
• Perito Contador registrado ante SAT, con estudios universitarios en Contaduría, Finanzas o Administración
• 2 a 3 años de experiencia (idealmente en ONG)
• Manejo de Excel avanzado y software contable
• Conocimiento en procesos SAT, IGSS y MinTrab

Algunas responsabilidades:
• Control financiero, conciliaciones y reportes
• Cumplimiento fiscal (IVA, ISR, FEL, Declaraguate)
• Gestión laboral (planillas IGSS, prestaciones)
• Apoyo en presupuestos y auditorías

This full-time, in-person role is based in Jocotenango, Guatemala and leads our fundraising campaigns, donor engagement and digital storytelling.

Today, on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we remember: talent has no gender, but opportunities still do.

According to the UNESCO, only 1 in 3 researchers worldwide is a woman. Millions of girls stop seeing themselves in science due to stereotypes, inequality, and lack of role models.

At REALgirl, we believe:
💜 Girls’ access to science is a right.
💜 Seeing themselves as scientists is a form of power.
💜 Investing in girls means investing in a more just future.

Inspiration is not enough, we must transform the systems that still hold girls back.

Take action today: challenge stereotypes, open doors, amplify role models, and believe in every girl’s potential.

Hoy, en el Día Internacional de las Niñas y las Mujeres en la Ciencia, recordamos que el talento no tiene género, pero las oportunidades todavía sí.

Según datos de la UNESCO, solo 1 de cada 3 personas dedicadas a la investigación científica en el mundo es mujer. Millones de niñas dejan de verse a sí mismas en la ciencia debido a estereotipos, desigualdades y falta de referentes.

En SERniña lo tenemos claro:
💜 El acceso de las niñas a la ciencia es un derecho.
💜 Imaginarse científicas también es una forma de poder.
💜 Apostar por las niñas es apostar por un futuro más justo.

No basta con motivarlas, debemos transformar los sistemas que aún les cierran puertas.

Hoy te invitamos a actuar: cuestiona los estereotipos, abre espacios, comparte referentes y cree en el potencial de cada niña.

From the Young Feminist Lab in REALgirl, we learned how to name it: control is not love.

When “I care about you” becomes surveillance,
when “I love you” limits someone’s choices,
there is no real care.

The love we want respects freedom and autonomy.
Rethinking love is also a way to prevent violence 💜............
Desde el Laboratorio de Feminismos Jóvenes de SERniña aprendimos a nombrarlo: el control no es amor.

Cuando el “te cuido” se convierte en vigilancia,
cuando el “te amo” limita decisiones,
ahí no hay cuidado.

El amor que queremos respeta la libertad y la autonomía.

Many ideas about love were learned without questioning them, and not all of them protect, respect, or nurture us.

Love is learned, and be more just.
