The Maranatha House Antigua

We head down to Guatemala to see our kids and work on The Maranatha House Antigua projects in less than one week!

Would you pray for us? That the time we have together would be beautiful and healing and restorative and that the Lord would put the right people in our path who would be interested in mentoring/hosting a young adult for our Transition Program.

Rest Day Reflections:
It’s Resurrection Sunday and resurrection and restoration has been on my heart. I’m thankful for the freedom we can have in Christ’s death and resurrection but oh how often we forget to live like we are free, like we are new, like we are restored. It’s never too late to ask for that freedom.
In the Maranatha House program, restoration is so important. We have weekly therapy sessions with a really great bilingual Christian Psychologist. She is a blessing to all of us. We also are continually in conversation with our participants and our own kids about the restoration we can find only in Jesus. Will you join us in praying for our participants to actively seek His restoration in their hearts and minds and that Evan and I can guide them through this, always pointing them to our Heavenly Father?

Hey Maranatha House followers, it’s been a while! Just wanted to stop in and share some encouragement. Hope is everywhere. Maybe it’s the change of seasons- literally and physically. It seems like here in Guatemala, there’s a new season of hope and joy and refreshment and we are so thankful! It’s just in time for Semana Santa, a huge celebration of Holy Week and preparation for Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. The area is preparing for a big celebration and even the streets are lined with beautiful little purple flowers that have called from the trees. It’s nature’s celebration of redemption and now we also get to praise God for His promise of redemption!

Guys! Today, the Maranatha House has had the privilege of doing something really important for a sweet daughter of King Jesus in a time of need. We are blown away and humbled that God has used us in this story and can’t wait to share it with you. Thank you for making it possible and please keep us in your prayers⛰
