Culture for Climate: Where Art Meets Climate Action!

On 8–9 October 2026, we successfully organised the “Culture for Climate” Arts & Film Festival in Thessaloniki, Greece, as part of the European project SustiBridge! 🇪🇺

The event brought together partners and participants from Greece, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, Italy and Belgium, encouraging creativity, cultural exchange and dialogue on sustainability.

🎬 Day 1 | 8 October
The day featured presentations from our European partners, the session “Art as a Voice for Climate Action”, interactive activities exploring climate through famous paintings, film screenings and engaging discussions on how art can inspire environmental awareness and action.

🎨 Day 2 | 9 October
We visited the art studio of Christina Michalopoulou , who guided us through her artworks and shared her artistic perspective. Through an inspiring Q&A, we explored how creativity can raise awareness about climate change and encourage positive environmental change.

A big thank you to our partners, participants and Christina for making these two days so meaningful!

Because art has the power to connect people, inspire change and build a more sustainable future!

Youth is energy, courage, creativity and the belief that things can be done differently. ✨

This International Youth Day, we celebrate young people who speak up, take initiative, challenge what needs to change and bring fresh ideas into their communities.

Our role is not simply to talk about the future, it is to make sure young people have a real place in shaping it. 🌍💙

Happy International Youth Day to every young person making their voice count.
