He urgently needs to undergo a critical heart surgery! Let us stand united for Lambros!

Lambros was diagnosed shortly after birth with a rare form of congenital heart disease involving an abnormal development of the tricuspid valve. Throughout the years, he has been closely monitored by cardiologists, but his condition has now deteriorated dramatically.
According to his cardiologist, the 16-year-old fighter must urgently undergo open-heart surgery. The operation is scheduled to take place at a specialized clinic abroad and will be performed by a distinguished cardiac surgeon with extensive experience in similar procedures. However, the cost of the surgery, medical fees, and hospitalization far exceeds the family's financial means, leaving them in urgent need of support.
We cannot remain indifferent. ACT OF KINDNESS is launching an urgent fundraising campaign to help secure Lambros's admission for the life-saving surgery he desperately needs!

Tasos has been battling multiple sclerosis for the past 12 years. Over time, his life underwent a complete transformation, and so did his needs.

Thanks to your tangible support, we have already covered 11% of the journey toward our goal, securing Stathis’ therapeutic program for the last few months.
The 44-year-old father is now following an intensive home-based physiotherapy program, and he will soon begin botox injection therapy aimed at reducing spasticity. Once these treatments are completed, he may be re-admitted to the Rehabilitation Center to continue his intensive therapeutic program, which will help him get back on his feet and regain his independence.
Stathis thanks you all from the bottom of his heart for your love and support.
We continue our efforts with determination, aiming to secure Stathis’ treatment program and offer him a second chance at life!

📣 Stathis’ campaign:
Stathis’s life was turned upside down about 4 years ago when he was diagnosed with cancer of the right parotid gland. The 43-year-old father underwent a parotidectomy and, following the prescribed sessions of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, managed to beat cancer. However, the battle with the disease led to severe neurological complications that left him bedridden. Stathis needs our support to continue his treatment program, which will allow him to regain mobility and independence. With every donation, we stand by a father who is fighting a brave battle to get his life back!

In light of the alarming finding by the International Labour Organization (ILO) that 1 in 5 employees worldwide has experienced violence or harassment in the workplace, our team in Thessaloniki recently participated in an important training session.
In collaboration with the Hellenic Institute for Occupational Health and Safety and under the guidance of the outstanding trainer, Ms. Semerdjian, we engaged in open discussions, analyzed real-life cases, and gained practical tools and knowledge.
Our goal is to continue building an organization founded on respect, safety, and mutual trust.
Because, in order to offer love and support to others, we must first ensure a healthy and safe environment for ourselves.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Hellenic Institute for Occupational Health and Safety and Ms. Semerdjian, for their valuable experience and knowledge they shared with us.

Thanks to your active support, we have already covered 79% of the way toward our goal, securing little Zoi’s intensive therapeutic program, as well as the medical supplies essential for her daily care, for the last 6 months.
The physical, occupational, and speech therapy program that the 5-year-old fighter is undergoing is expected to significantly contribute to strengthening her muscular system and improving her swallowing and speech abilities.
And for that, her mother is thanking you all from the bottom of her heart.
We continue our strong efforts to secure Zoi’s therapeutic program for the upcoming months, and to offer her a life without limitations!

📣 Zoi’s campaign:

Little Zoi has been diagnosed with psychomotor delay and severe developmental disorders. The 5-year-old girl has not yet been able to consume solid foods. She presents generalized hypotonia, walks with instability, and her speech is unintelligible. The intensive program of physical, occupational, and speech therapy she is following must continue at all costs, as it plays a crucial role in acquiring essential developmental skills. We cannot turn our backs on a child who has been fighting since the very moment she came into this world. Together, we can change her life with one small gesture!

A vertical platform lift, a new life for Christophoros!

Thanks to your invaluable support, we were able to offer a family something far more meaningful than equipment.
We offered the opportunity for a life without limitations.
Until today, Christophoros has spent most of his day in his room, as his mobility was extremely demanding and dangerous.
All of that, however, now belongs to the past!
The vertical platform lift, which is soon to be installed in the home of our beloved Christophoros, will transform the daily life of the entire family, as his parents will now be able to transfer him safely and effortlessly, both inside and outside the home.
On behalf of the 17-year-old fighter’s family, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for becoming part of this effort.
Because together, we can make the impossible possible!

A single infection left him bedridden! We join forces for Giorgos!

Giorgos has been facing an uphill struggle for years, as he suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. However, fate had yet another trial in store for him, as a few months ago, he contracted RSV, a serious respiratory infection that significantly worsened his health condition.
The 62-year-old had to be admitted to the ICU, and after a long hospitalization, he was transferred to a Rehabilitation Center, where he remains to this day. His clinical condition is quite severe, as he is now fed via a nasogastric tube and breathes with the help of a tracheostomy. At the same time, prolonged hospitalization has led to significant muscle atrophy that has left him bedridden.
Giorgos must remain in the Center at all costs, as his recovery is gradually showing progress. However, his stay at the Center cannot continue without our help, as the cost of his treatment program, combined with the medical needs that have arisen, far exceeds his financial capacity.
We cannot turn our backs on him! ACT OF KINDNESS is immediately organizing a fundraising campaign to secure Giorgos’ stay at the Center for as long as needed. Together, we can offer him the chance to fight with dignity to get his life back!

‘Act of Kindness’ is now included in the 4th Grade elementary school textbooks!
An important recognition of Act of Kindness’ work comes through the inclusion of audiovisual material provided by the Organization, in the new educational book ‘Greek Language – Our Values: Action’, which will be used by the 4th grade elementary school students.
More specifically, the team of authors of the new school textbooks at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens requested permission from our Organization, to use as educational material, an episode of the program ‘Greece of Solidarity’, which was dedicated to the Community Food Store of the Municipality of Thermi.
The aim is to introduce young students to the important values of solidarity, social contribution, and volunteerism, through real and everyday examples.
As an Organization, if we manage to inspire even one young student to do a good deed, then we will have achieved our purpose: making our world a better place!

Little Eleni urgently needs our support to continue her therapeutic program!
Eleni is a 5-year-old little angel who has been facing countless challenges, as her extremely premature birth led to severe developmental disorders that affected her vision, hearing, speech, and motor skills.
Until recently, the little fighter showed significant instability while walking and had not been able to develop speech. However, thanks to the therapeutic program we secured, her developmental progress has begun to improve, as she can now form words and go up and down stairs.
Her treatments must not be interrupted under any circumstances, as they play a crucial role in her developmental progress. However, her father, who is raising her on his own after the loss of his wife, is unable to cover the cost of the therapies that are essential for enhancing her skills.
They are not alone! ACT OF KINDNESS is immediately launching a fundraising campaign to provide the little fighter with the resources that will offer her a better future! Because every child out there could be our own child!
