If you’re having a little morning scroll with your coffee, firstly, good morning! 🥰 And secondly, just a little reminder that YOUth MATTERs is open this Friday! 🎉

We’re really looking forward to welcoming Amy Morris, our current Miss Norfolk, for a fun, interactive singing and confidence workshop! 🎤💗

If this is something your young person would enjoy, please encourage them to come along! And if they’d feel more comfortable bringing a friend, please spread the word. The more the merrier! 🥰

As always, if there are any worries, nerves or concerns about coming along, please don’t hesitate to message me. I’m more than happy to meet them at the door, welcome them in personally and help them settle so there’s no unnecessary stress or worries. 💕

🧡 A little appreciation post! 🧡

A massive thank you to the lovely Audrey Doyle, who kindly made a donation directly into our YOUth MATTERs bank account today! 🥰

I absolutely loved Audrey’s message, especially hearing how she used to attend youth clubs back in the 1960s in West London. ❤️

It just goes to show how important youth clubs have always been and how those memories stay with people all these years later!

We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity, Audrey. It’s lovely knowing that people from different generations recognise and support what we’re trying to do for our young people.

🧡 WHAT’S COMING UP AT YOUth MATTERs! 🧡

We’ve got some brilliant workshops lined up over the next few weeks, and I’m so excited to welcome some lovely people who are giving up their time to come and share their skills with our young people! 🥰

🎤 Friday 6th November | 6–8pm – Singing Confidence & Karaoke Fun with Amy Morris, the current Miss Norfolk! 👑

🧵 Friday 13th November | 6–8pm – A Cross Stitch Sitch with Aimee! A fun, relaxed and creative activity at our craft table for everyone to enjoy! 💕✨

🎭 Friday 20th November | 6–8pm – Mindful Mask Makeover with Karen Newell from Tribe Therapy! 🎨

🎄 Friday 11th December | 6–9pm – Our End of Term Christmas Party! 🎅🎉

Featuring a separate DIY Christmas Slime Workshop from 6:30–7:30pm (£10 per child) and a special visit from our local MP, Ben Goldsborough! 🧡

Our usual youth club antics will still be happening alongside the workshops, so there’s something for everyone! 🎱🎨🎶

I absolutely love seeing people from our community getting involved and bringing something different to the club. It’s what YOUth MATTERs is all about! 🧡

🧡 £650 FOR YOUth MATTERs!!! 🧡

So here I am, currently camping, tucked up on the roof of my car in my TentBox, when I get a message from the wonderful Cllr Suzanne Nuri Nixon telling me that the Ex-Services Women’s Darts Team have raised an unbelievable £650 for YOUth MATTERs Youth Club!!! 🥹🙌

I genuinely cannot believe it! I wasn’t expecting anything like that and I’m absolutely over the moon!!! 🫶🏼

I haven’t even received the cheque yet, but I couldn’t wait until I got home to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone involved! ❤️🧡

You’ve absolutely made my night! 😂🏕️🧡

Our consultation is OPEN at Wymondham Library about our plans for a new improved skatepark. Please go and see the proposed plans and get to vote on your favourite. Spread the word!

🎄 Having a clear-out before Christmas? I’d love to collect donations to make up Christmas boxes for families who might be struggling this year, for children from babies right up to 16-year-olds. 🎁

Toys, games, books, puzzles, gifts for teenagers, makeup and toiletries would all be lovely. Toys and games can be preloved, but please make sure they’re clean, in good condition and have all their pieces. Makeup and toiletries must be new, unopened and in date 🧡

All donations will need to be dropped off at my home, not at the hall. Please message me privately for my address and to arrange a drop-off.

Let’s work together and make this happen! Even sharing this post could help.

🎃👻 WHAT A SPECTACULAR HALLOWEEN PARTY AT YOUth MATTERs! 🕷️🧡

Well, what an absolutely brilliant evening we’ve had! 🎉

We made such an effort for tonight, and I’m honestly so proud of all our volunteers for making the hall look so fun and spooky! 🕸️💀 The kids absolutely loved it, and it was so lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves. 🧡

🎃 We had pumpkin carving, with the kids getting to take their creations home, and the ones left over are going to be made into pumpkin pie by one of our lovely volunteers! 🥧

🎨💄 We also had our Halloween makeup station, where the kids could get creative, make a mess and basically draw all over each other! 😂 It was so nice seeing the boys and girls getting involved together, laughing, interacting and just having fun. Not sitting on their phones, but actually spending time with each other. I absolutely love seeing this! 🧡

🕷️ A massive thank you to Rob for making such an effort with the decorations and going all out with the dressing up! I’m totally here for that, and I can’t wait to see what you come up with for Christmas! 😂🎄 He even made us some lovely sausage rolls! 🥐

🧁🍪 A special shout-out to one of our young members who made cakes and biscuits and brought them in for everyone. How lovely is that! 🧡

🎃 And Sophie, that pumpkin you carved was absolutely incredible! I honestly couldn’t believe how good it was! I absolutely love how creative you are! 🧡✨

🙌 To ALL our volunteers, I appreciate you all so much. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making these evenings happen. We really do have a lovely little team. 🧡

👻 And to all our members, both our newbies and our OGs, thank you so much for coming along tonight!

We genuinely weren’t sure how many would turn up, with the kids breaking up for half term yesterday and the weather being absolutely miserable, but we had an amazing turnout! 🥳🧡

It’s so nice to see kids coming together, making friendships, having a laugh and just enjoying themselves. That’s what makes all the effort worthwhile. 🫶

💬 And I just want to say, if your child is sitting at home each week, or you’re seeing our posts and thinking, “I’d really like my child to come along” or your child is wanting to come but feeling a little nervous, PLEASE just come along! 🧡

Honestly, this is exactly why I started YOUth MATTERs. To give young people somewhere to go, somewhere to make friends, feel included and just be themselves. You don’t need to know anyone, you don’t need to come with a group of friends, and you certainly don’t need to worry about fitting in.

🌈 Everyone is welcome here, and we would absolutely love to see some new faces! 🧡
