A hugely exciting new addition to Wrexham is taking shape and the team behind it wants your help.

is creating a Family Panel to help shape future family experiences, events and activities as part of its next chapter.

They’re looking to hear directly from families about what a great visit looks like, what would encourage you to visit and any barriers that might prevent you from taking part.

Whether you’d prefer regular meetings, one off focus groups, online participation or simply completing a survey, there are plenty of ways to get involved and have your say.

This is a chance to help influence and shape an exciting new cultural attraction for Wrexham from the very beginning.

Families of all ages are welcome.

To register your interest, email [email protected] by 27 June 2026.

GĹľyl Cwilt!!!

Datgelodd Arddangosfa Trysorau Celf Wrecsam 1876 “Cwilt Rhyfeddod Wrecsam” i’r byd am y tro cyntaf. I ddathlu’r pen-blwydd yn 150 oed, bydd Llyfrgell Wrecsam yn cynnal ei gŵyl tri diwrnod ei hun ar 9, 10 ac 11 Gorffennaf.

Dros y tridiau, bydd arddangosfa, gan gynnwys… replica ar raddfa chwarter o’r Cwilt Rhyfeddod gwreiddiol; Cwilt Adam Jones (trwy garedigrwydd Tŷ Pawb); Cwilt Dyffryn Dyfrdwy (trwy garedigrwydd Ysgol Froncysyllte), yn ogystal â chelf tecstilau/cwiltio arall o ysgol Gynradd Rhos-ddu ac ysgol Barker’s Lane; clytwaith 50 panel y Bwrdd Arlunio; a llawer mwy.

Rydym yn croesawu ymweliadau ysgol ar ddydd Iau 9 Gorffennaf a dydd Gwener 10 Gorffennaf, rhwng 10.00am a 11.30am, ac yn ystod y cyfnod hwnnw bydd gwirfoddolwyr wrth law i sgwrsio am yr eitemau sy’n cael eu harddangos.

Yn ogystal, bydd y sgyrsiau/arddangosiadau canlynol:

❤️Dydd Iau 9 Gorffennaf, 2.00pm – 3.00pm: Bydd yr artist tecstilau enwog, Bethan Hughes, yn siarad am le cwiltio mewn byd modern.

❤️Dydd Gwener 10 Gorffennaf, 1.00pm-4.00pm: Bydd yr artist lleol, Rachel Harris, yn siarad am ac yn arddangos y grefft draddodiadol o Gwiltio mewn Ffrâm.

❤️Dydd Sadwrn 11 Gorffennaf, 10.00am – 12.00 hanner dydd: Dewch i helpu Rachel Harris (ynghyd ag Emily Ashworth a Rosie Marubbi) i greu Cwilt Llyfrgell.

❤️Dydd Sadwrn 11 Gorffennaf 2.00pm-3.00pm: Ymunwch â’r awdur lleol David Ebsworth a’i ffrindiau i glywed am hanes diddorol y Cwilt Rhyfeddod ei hun.

Mae’r rhain yn ddigwyddiadau am ddim, ond mae’n rhaid i chi gadw lle.

Os hoffai eich ysgol ymweld yn ystod sesiwn yr ysgolion, nodwch fod lleoedd yn gyfyngedig a rhaid eu cadw ymlaen llaw.

There’s an exciting new festival coming to Wrexham Library this July!

The Wrexham Art Treasures Exhibition of 1876 first revealed to the world our astonishing “Wonder Quilt of Wrexham”, a fabulous and funky design you might have seen around town or on ITV Wales recently thanks to a brilliant mural by Liam Stokes-Massey

You can learn more about Liam’s work on https://pencilcraftsman.co.uk/ , and read more about the Art Treasures Exhibition thanks to David Ebsworth at https://www.davidebsworth.com/wrexhams-great-art-treasures-exhibition-1876

To celebrate the 150th anniversary, Wrexham Library will be hosting its own three-day festival on 9th, 10th and 11th July.

Over the three days, there will be a display, including… a quarter-scale replica of the original Wonder Quilt; the Adam Jones Quilt (courtesy of Tŷ Pawb); the Dee Valley Quilt (courtesy of Ysgol Froncysyllte), as well as other textile/quilting art from Rhosddu Primary and Barker’s Lane schools; the Drawing Board’s 50-panel patchwork; and much more.

We welcome school visits on Thursday 9th July and Friday 10th July, from 10.00am until 11.30am, during which time volunteers will be on hand to chat about the exhibits.

In addition, there will be the following talks/demonstrations:

❤Thursday 9th July, 2.00pm-3.00pm: Celebrated textile artist, Bethan Hughes, will talk about the place of quilting in a modern world.
