You will notice we have reduced the branding to a simple stamp.

Why?

Because we all put our own stamp on the community, we have been quietly working in the background talking to people - some of these people we feel are legends of the town. They’ve walked the walk, talked the talk and our invitations for the ‘longer table meeting’ will be going out very soon.

We’ve had a few suggestions for the theme to this… and one of the best so far is a ‘Market Theme’ where no one gets a regular pitch at the table, you are invited to bring your ideas, work together and create and leave a better Wrexham for the next Gen! Meetings bring different people together…

Connecting people who rarely share a room is key.

If someone was to ask you, when Wrexham is mentioned to you - what name instantly pops into your mind alive or sadly no longer with us? Who would be your pick?

A NEW CHAPTER FOR THIS PAGE ❤️

You might have noticed a few changes around here recently, so we wanted to properly introduce ourselves.

This page is now home to Our WXM.

This has been quietly building in the background for most of this year 👀

Our WXM is a completely new and independent project, with a team coming together around one thing we all share: a genuine love for Wrexham and its people.

This is a fresh start, with a new vision and a clear purpose of its own.

We believe Wrexham’s biggest strength has always been its people.

The characters. The communities. The independent businesses. The creatives. The people working quietly behind the scenes. The ones having a go, looking after others and trying to make this place better.

Those are the stories we want to tell.

We’ll celebrate the good in Wrexham. We want to bring people together, open up proper conversations and help build something that everyone can feel part of.

Over the next three or four months, on the run-up to Christmas, you’ll start seeing Our WXM come to life.

We’ll be out meeting people, visiting local businesses, sharing stories, creating content and bringing new events, conversations and ideas into the town.

There will be a social event coming soon, and we will be announcing that - so keep your eye on the page!

We’re not coming in pretending we have all the answers. We want to listen, learn and build this alongside the people who live here, like us, and care about the town and the people in it.

Because this doesn’t belong to one person, one organisation or one part of the town.

It belongs to all of us.

It doesn’t matter where your story started. If Wrexham is your home, your workplace or simply somewhere you care deeply about, you’re part of its story.

🪷Feel good Friday🪷

As we come to the end of another fantastic summer holidays, the Wellbeing Hub would like to take a moment to celebrate and thank the incredible community that surrounds us.

This week's Feel-Good Friday is a double celebration, with a huge shout-out to everyone involved in our Pre-Loved School Uniform Appeal and Family Zone activities over the summer holidays.

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our community, 237 children received a total of 570 items of school uniform, helping families prepare for the new school year.

Our Family Zone also welcomed more than 190 family members, providing a space to play, meet new friends and enjoy some tasty snacks.

None of this would have been possible without the amazing support of:
🩵Those who donated uniform and food
🩵Our dedicated staff and volunteers
🩵The organisations that partnered with us
🩵Everyone who helped spread the word and, of course, the families who joined us

Thank you for making this summer so special. We are proud to be part of such a caring and supportive community. 🎗️

Over the next month, we here at Yab and a new project, same why… will be showing you - why, wrexham has always been a town of culture.

The city, with a town at its heart 💛💙
