Hospice at Home West Cumbria exists to ensure that the people of West Cumbria receive the best possible palliative and end of life care. It is a pioneering local charity founded in 1987 that was one of the first two organisations in the UK to provide a hospice at home service. Hospice at Home West Cumbria has continued to play a leading role in developing and setting the standards for this type of

hospice care ever since. The charity’s objective is to provide the best possible palliative care to patients, to give help and support to their carers/loved ones, and to make its services available to everybody who needs them.

For Father’s Day this year, we have created a special online space where you can share a dedication and come together with others to remember the men who meant so much to us.

We have early bird prices available for our Moonlight Walk! 🌜⭐

There's never been a better time to get involved. You can walk with family, friends and colleagues and raise fantastic money for charity.

Our ticket prices are as follows. We are excited to offer an early bird price for all entries registered before Tuesday 30th June.
Adult: Early bird price £18
Child (aged 8-18): Early bird price £8
Family (2 adults and 2 children): Early bird price £40

Each participant will receive a t-shirt to wear on the walk, with space to commemorate who they are walking in memory of, as well as a special finishers medal to mark their achievement.

This year’s theme of Carers Week is Building Carer Friendly Communities and from 8-14 June we’ll be highlighting how to build communities that make a real and lasting difference to the lives of carers everywhere.

So many of the families of the service users that we support end up caring for their family member. This week is to highlight and bring awareness of the amazing work that carers do for the people they love. Communities and groups that support and give respite to carers make a great impact in their lives.

We support people who have cared for a person with a palliative diagnosis and have been bereaved through our Comfort Café and bereavement groups.
