If you missed your chance at the festival - or just want to do it again - here’s your chance!

Sitting in the blazing sun it is hard to imagine crisp Autumn days and long Winter nights, yet here I am planning workshops for later in the year.

First up we will weave a fat ball bird feeder just in time for when your fluffy garden friends need an extra hand.

Designed for beginners, you will learn the terms and techniques whist being guided step-by-step through the process.

⭐️ We’re excited to announce that Slip the Jig are with us for Cumberlandia 2026!

Thoughtful harmonies, driving reels, playful jigs – this is old friends trying out new things and inviting the audience in as they explore together, with joy and spontaneity.

Jilly’s wealth of experience in jazz and improvisation meets Sara’s background in folk music education leading the quartet along new paths, weaving through rhythms, traditions, and experimentation.

With repertoire influenced by the dance traditions of the UK, Europe and beyond, Slip the Jig brings energy and warmth to every performance, whether playing tunes in someone’s living room, or filling a village hall with ceilidh dancing.

is live now! If you’re new to recording wildlife or a seasoned pro this is a great opportunity to submit some records to contribute to the project. You can record using the iNaturalist.org app or the iRecord app, both are really easy! I have never used iNaturalist before, but the auto ID AI feature is incredible! I’ve been testing it today and I’m very impressed. It means that even if you are not confident with your own ID skills, you can simply upload a photo and the app does the rest. Join Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre for Cumbria Wild Watch 2026 – a Cumbria-wide wildlife survey taking place 25-28 June 2026. By taking part, you can help us understand what wildlife we have in Cumbria!

Observe the wildlife in your garden, park, school, on a walk or at an event (see details of these by following the link below). Record what you see and then send your records to Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre. It is that simple.
