Kew Gardens's UK seed collection programme visited last autumn and collected 33,361 native heather seeds. Evidence suggests that heather has grown at the nature reserve for the past 8000 years.

The collection will be added to the at Kew Wakehurst, the world’s largest underground seed bank and conservation resource for diverse wild plant species.

We’re thrilled to contribute towards this project that is working to protect and restore plant diversity in the UK πŸŒ±πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Plant, Pot and Paint open day at the Green Community Hub in May!🌼🌻 🎨

The community garden, cared for by local volunteers and our team, was buzzing with activity as people of all ages came together to help give the space a new lease of life for summer. They planted pollinator-friendly plants, painted colourful rocks and made newspaper pots to take home a sunflower for their own wild space. πŸπŸ¦‹

If you'd like to be part of this growing community, pop along to the Green Hub to find out more, or contact Connor at [email protected] for more information 🌱

Thank you to The National Lottery Heritage Fund and players for making projects like this possible πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ’š
