Whether you’re looking to build confidence, gain valuable experience for your CV, or simply looking give something back, there’s a place for you here at Compton.

We have exciting opportunities in the heart of our communities supporting our retail stores, hospitality roles in our cafes and coffee shops, and for those green-fingered folk out there we’re always looking for people to tend our beautiful grounds.

This week is National Volunteers’ Week and we’re proudly celebrating our wonderful volunteers!

Josie has been volunteering with Compton for 18 months in our Fundraising Team.

She shared: “After I retired, I found I missed the buzz of the workplace, so I started looking for volunteer roles. I was really drawn to the opportunities at Compton, and I wanted to share my skills and give something back to a local charity.”

Josie now volunteers with our Community and Events team, where she plays an important role in creating positive experiences for our supporters.

She said: “I’ve definitely got that buzz back helping with all of Compton’s exciting events! From large-scale sporting challenges, to memory walks, to hosting a Cuppa for Compton, there’s something for everyone and the people who take part are so inspiring.

“I really enjoy being part of the team and ensuring every event supporter feels valued and appreciated for the difference they make. I support with enquiries, send out event packs, support with organisation of the events and thank participants afterwards for all their support and dedication.”

Thank you so much Josie for everything you do to support Compton, it’s great to have you with us!

Our specialist Counselling and Support team deliver community Walk and Talks each month, and also Bereavement Information Points where you can find information of support offered locally

These events are free and open to all, not just those who have lost a loved one at Compton.

A BIG thank you, once again, to the wonderful team at ZOOMA Indian Bar & Grill and their customers for their fundraising support.

The Compton based restaurant held a charity raffle and their customers raised an amazing £503.55!

Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity which will contribute to the specialist care we provide to local people living with life limiting conditions and support for their families.

It was a pleasure to attend my very first official engagement as Mayor of Wolverhampton at the launch of Compton Care's “Trail of the Dragons” 2027 initiative.

In partnership with Wild in Art, this exciting sculpture trail will not only bring creativity and community spirit to our city, but also raise awareness and support for the incredible work Compton Care does for patients and families across Wolverhampton.

Thank you to everyone involved for such a warm welcome, and I look forward to seeing the trail come to life across our city in 2027.
