What a night!

On Thursday, we came together at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London to celebrate the work of The Mulberry Bush and look ahead to our next chapter. The event was hosted by our long-standing Patron and friend, Rahul Moodgal.

Rahul’s relationship with The Mulberry Bush began almost 15 years ago, after a visit to our school in Oxfordshire sparked a lasting commitment to our work supporting children affected by childhood trauma.

A heartfelt thank you to Rahul, Kate Wilson, and everyone who joined us for such a meaningful evening.

When a child is overwhelmed, they may not have the words to explain what they feel.

They might shout, withdraw, push people away or seem “too much”.

In those moments, children need calm, curious adults who can look beyond the behaviour and ask: what might this be communicating?

“I’m here.”
“You’re safe.”
“I’m not giving up on you.”

Because every child deserves to feel understood.💙

Our Family Fun Arena was full of smiles, laughter and moments that brought children, families and the community together.

A special thank you to Richard from The Maybush for keeping Team MB fed on Saturday- it was very much appreciated!

And finally, a big shoutout to every member of staff and volunteer who gave their time, energy and care to help make this weekend possible. We couldn't have done it without you!

When England play, not every home feels safe.

Research has shown that on match days, the risk of domestic abuse rose by 26% when England won or drew, and by 38% when England lost.

For many of us, the World Cup means excitement, connection and memories made with the people we love.

But for some children, match day can mean fear, tension and waiting to see what happens after the final whistle.

Our latest article explores the hidden impact major sporting events can have on children living with domestic abuse, and why adult behaviour during high-emotion moments matters.

"Have you tried asking ChatGPT?"

For many people, AI is becoming a space to reflect, process emotions, and seek support. With 41% of people in the UK saying they would be open to using AI for counselling, it's clear that technology is changing the way we think about mental health support.

But can ChatGPT really act as a therapist?

In our latest blog, we explore where AI can be helpful for reflection and self-awareness, where its limitations become clear, and why human connection, professional expertise, and safe relationships remain essential to mental wellbeing.
