1.
(2)

We know that parents want the best start in life for their children, but in today's busy, fast food society, a healthy family lifestyle isn't always easy. Information about food and activity...
that is practical, easy to understand and help the whole family to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

2. Support for parents and carers...
helping you to develop the confidence and skills to give your children

a good start in life.

3. Changing old habits...practical strategies and support to help you make the changes you think will help your family

🖤 As Black Breastfeeding Week comes to a close, our commitment remains.

Breastfeeding support must be safe, respectful and culturally responsive, and that’s what we’re working towards, every day.

Throughout this month, we’ve:

🔎 Shone a light on disparities and barriers
🗣 Shared stories that matter
🤝 Called for safe spaces where every family feels seen, heard and valued

At HENRY, we know that the work doesn’t stop here. Equity is not a campaign, it’s a commitment.

✅ We’ll keep listening.
✅ We’ll keep learning.
✅ And we’ll keep showing up for every family, every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who engaged, shared, and stood with us during Black Breastfeeding Week.

29/08/2025

Let’s look beyond the surface.

Black breastfeeding rates are lower, not because of personal choice, but because of systemic inequalities that make breastfeeding harder to start and sustain.

These are just some of the structural barriers Black families face:

🏥 Inconsistent or biased healthcare experiences
📖 Lack of representation in educational resources
🗣️ Fewer safe spaces to ask questions and share openly
📉 A legacy of mistrust rooted in lived experience

At HENRY, we believe support must be safe, responsive and equitable. That means:

✅ Listening to lived experiences
✅ Challenging assumptions
✅ Delivering inclusive, culturally aware support
✅ Advocating for long-term system change

We’re working alongside local teams and families to change the story, because every baby deserves the best possible start, and every family deserves to be respected on their feeding journey.
