A gentle reminder from PTSD999 💙

Sadly, a few of our recent posts have received unkind and strongly anti-police comments.

We understand that people have different views and experiences, but PTSD999 is a charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of those who serve and have served across all our emergency services.

We will always stand beside our police officers, firefighters, ambulance crews, call handlers, NHS workers, prison officers, coastguard, mountain rescue teams and armed forces

These are the people we rely upon during some of the most frightening and desperate moments of our lives. Behind every uniform is a human being who may carry the emotional impact of those emergencies long after their shift has ended.

Respectful conversation is welcome, but abuse, hostility or comments attacking any of our emergency services will not be accepted. If you strongly oppose what our charity represents, this may not be the right page for you.

This page will always remain a place of support, compassion and respect. Thank you to everyone who helps us keep it that way.

𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗦 💙

A GoFundMe appeal has been launched to support the families of PC Matthew Blades and PC Tom Clough.

The appeal states that all funds raised will be for the benefit of their families, with Cleveland Police to be consulted to ensure the money is distributed appropriately and in accordance with their wishes.

At the time of writing, more than £8,000 has already been raised.

Today, we pause to honour and remember two Cleveland Police officers who tragically lost their lives while serving and protecting their community.

Their courage, dedication and selfless service will never be forgotten. At a time of such unimaginable loss, words can offer little comfort, but we hope their loved ones know they are not alone in their grief.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, colleagues and everyone within Cleveland Police. Our thoughts are with you all during this devastating time.

*12 HOUR WOD-A-THON*

It’s just over a month until crossfitorpington embark on their 12-hour WOD-a-thon raising funds for PTSD999,

On Saturday 19th September from 8am to 8pm, they take on a workout every hour, on the hour. Each hour breaks down into a 20-minute warm-up, 20-minute workout, and 20-minute cool-down.
