August. Here are the catch pictures members have sent in and shared from last month. August has seen some nice carp caught by our members, even though there’s been lots of Tench, Crucian and silvers caught, not many have been sent in 🐟

If you have any pictures of any captures you'd like to share with the club. Send them in and they'll be added at the end of each month to the page. 📸

The Environment Agency have been on site today checking rod licenses. Pleased to say once again, all our members fishing had them.

Match day reminder for tomorrow 🐟

Saturday 29th August 9am meet time 🕰️

Membership cards MUST be shown to enter 🪪

For any members not wanting to fish in the match, the back pond is open for pleasure fishing.

Please note the main lake is closed until 5:30pm. Anyone fishing the back pond is to use the west path only for access and is not to disturb any competitors. Thank you.

Another successful EDAS work party yesterday. 8 members helped to get through a huge amount of work including:

All the car park area strimmed. All the pathways reclaimed from the car park up to and including pegs 21 and 22. A lot of loose w**d pulled from the main lake. Barrels removed from peg 13. W**dkiller and dew**ding around all of the paths.

Some members who helped even had enough energy left to catch some lovely young carp afterwards, a just reward for their hard work 🐟🎣

A fantastic effort by all. Thanks very much to everyone who helped out.

Work Party - Sunday 23rd August 9am-11am.

If anyone is available this Sunday it would be appreciated. A couple of hours help makes a big difference!

A bit of mowing/strimming.

W**d raking.

Peg tidying, w**d pulling, general repairs.

Work available for all strengths and abilities.

A chance to meet, catch up and chat with other club members - everyone is welcome!

Due to the extremely hot weather conditions the match secretary has cancelled the match scheduled for Saturday 15th August. This is in the best interest of the fish, apologies to all that this has affected.

Both lakes will be open for general fishing.

Another successful EDAS work party today. 7 members helped to get through a huge amount of work including:

A lot of w**d removed from the Back Pond, to make it much more fishable. Still a few stragglers but a big improvement.

Strimming around most of the main lake paths to make them more accessible, also strimming many of the main lake pegs to make them more fishable and the entrance in front of the car park area. Looks very well indeed.

A fantastic effort by all. Thanks very much to everyone who helped out.
