We’re incredibly proud at Three Wishes to have funded the implementation of My Kit Check, led by WWL’s Resuscitation Team.

My Kit Check is a digital system that replaces paper-based processes with a real-time approach, helping ensure resuscitation trolleys and emergency equipment are always fully stocked, up to date and ready to use.

It provides instant visibility across wards and alerts staff immediately to missing or expired items, improving safety and consistency while reducing time spent on manual checks and paperwork. This means more time can be focused where it matters most, on patient care.

It’s fantastic to support a project that will strengthen patient safety and help teams deliver the best possible care. 💜

Today, on what would have been Anne Franks 97th birthday members of the Soroptimist International of Wigan group attended a ceremony to remember Anne. The Mayor Cllr Anne Collins, Council Leader Nazia Rehman and others including children from 4 Wigan primary schools also attended the moving ceremony organised by Jean Hensey-Reynard

More than half of UK train stations are still failing on basic safety measures.

Our recent investigation – the Railway Station Safety Survey – has revealed:
🚫 55% lack visible security.
🚫 Only 1 in 10 are staffed at all times.
🚫 1/3 have no emergency help point.
🚫 Poorly lit and isolated car parks remain common.

“These key measures, which can help women feel more secure, remain inconsistent, patchy and mixed at best. This leaves women increasingly vulnerable when travelling by train,” says Soroptimist SIGBI President Gillie O'Rourke.

SIGBI’s Programme Director, Lindsay Green,added: “Our goal is to stand up for women and girls, advocating for equal rights, opportunities, and representation. The relaunch of our railway safety project has been key in advancing this important issue and bringing it to the forefront of policy makers’ agendas.”

When you come along for your mammogram

✅ please wear separates ( a top and skirt or trousers). This will mean it’s easier to undress for your mammograms!

❌ Avoid dresses 👗 as it’s easier to just remove a blouse or top.

Please do come along when invited, early detection can mean less treatment and could save your life !
