Providing specialist palliative care for people living with a life-limiting illness 💜 We also support those people important to our patients.

The Hospice is an independent charity with care provided free of charge to over 1,100 patients every year. We rely on the generosity of all sectors of our local community who have kindly supported the Hospice for almost 40 years.Since the Hospice opened in 1983 many thousands of local people and their families have benefitted from our care whether given in the hospice building or in patients' own homes.

We're looking for volunteers to join our Shop Team! Help keep our hospice shops running smoothly by giving a few hours of your time each week.

Shop volunteers help with serving customers, sorting donations and creating displays. Shifts are available as follows:

Come along to our Christmas Fair on 5 December!

We're lining up a festive day of stalls, treats and Christmas cheer for everyone! There will be stalls selling Christmas gifts, treats and refreshments, a raffle and tombola, plenty of games to enjoy, and of course, Santa’s Grotto!

Come along to Leigh Library on Saturday 5 December, 10am to 2:30pm, to join the fun!

Welcome back to Thank You Thursday… our favourite day of the week. 💜

⭐ Thank you so much to Fairfield Nursery who have put on a variety of fundraising activities in support of the hospice.

⭐ A huge thank you to Ellie Longshaw for arranging a charity night to raise funds for the hospice - it looks like everyone had a fantastic time on the night!

⭐ Our grateful thanks to the Lidl sales team, who have made a donation of £999 to support our work!

This December, have a bit of festive fun with our Reindeer Run! 🦌

We're inviting our local schools and nurseries to support Wigan & Leigh Hospice by taking part in our Reindeer Run. All you have to do is get moving in December and make a donation - though wearing Christmas jumpers and t-shirts is encouraged, too!

The best part is, it's up to you when you take part. Pick any day in December and let us know when you'll be setting off so we can supply Reindeer Antlers for all children taking part!

There's no minimum fundraising target, just give what you can and help support the hospice this Christmastime.
