POPS have been a part of a very special worldwide collaboration this past year to raise awareness of the impact of a loved one's incarceration.

✨ Today we launch our new brand! ✨

POPS has always stood for families – and our refreshed identity and new website are here to reflect that more clearly than ever.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll start to see our new look across our website, leaflets, social media and in our visitor centres. Please know that while our appearance is changing, the heart of what we do remains the same. We are still here to support you and your family, just as we always have.

Our rebrand is about making it easier for families to feel connected, informed, and supported. It honours our history while showing the breadth of what we do today—supporting families both inside and outside the justice system, creating spaces where lived experience is heard, and making sure families feel valued and empowered.

*** Legal Aid Clinic ***

Children Heard and Seen have recently received funding from the FireBird Foundation to develop a Legal Advice Clinic. The clinic is for parent/carers looking after children with a parent in prison. The aim of the clinic is to encourage stability and promote justice for families impacted by parental imprisonment. The focus is on the family members outside, and not the person in prison.

This service is open and free to anyone caring for children with a parent in prison, from any organisation. Please get in touch with Children Heard and Seen if you would like to access the clinic.

*** Visiting Dad ***

If your children are visiting their dad at HMP Hindley for the first time then download our 'Visiting Dad' booklet which will take your child step-by-step through the visiting process and beyond as dad returns to where he lives day-to-day.

Sometimes children can experience anxiety, imagining what a prison looks like or what their loved one is experiencing. 'Visiting Dad' is designed to help children prepare for a visit and understand the activities that dad participates in during the week by depicting the various departments and areas in the prison where dad lives, works, rests and spends his leisure time.
