Halloween Art Club with Julie Fleming
Join Tales on the Tyne Artist and Art Teacher Julie Fleming for a fun Halloween Art Club at Whitley Bay Big Local.

Saturday 24th October.
10.30-12.30 or
13.30-15.30.

15 places available on each workshop.

Join Artist and Art Teacher Julie Fleming on making your own haunted house for Halloween. This two hour workshop will encourage attendees to cut, construct and decorate whatever spooky creation their imaginations can design with a range of fun materials.

A fully enhanced DBS and twenty years experience teaching art to children, Julie will guide and support throughout the workshop. Parents are welcome to attend, have a cuppa in the downstairs cafe or collect at the end of their session.

Recommended age 6 - 10. (Only children aged 6+ can be unaccompanied during the workshop.) £20 per child.

On Saturday 12th Sept, 1-3pm, Parents for Future North Tyneside will be at the Big Local in Whitley Bay, collecting ideas for what the future could look like if we got it right!

Come say hello, browse a book, and if you’re feeling inspired, have a go at redesigning your neighborhood using collage, pens and pencils, writing a quick article of the future or just having a chat with us!

Come October half term, we’ll share some snapshots of all this time travelling at our special exhibition at WB Library.

Create an honesty box - Using honesty (lunaria) seed pods as tiny frames for words we randomly stumble across in old books and magazines. A gentle way to create without much intention, follow what you find, and escape the hive mind for a little while…
