The Station Master's Community Wildlife Garden is a not-for-profit community led initiative in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear. The garden offers an opportunity for people to join in and experience the journey of sourcing food and reconnecting with the natural environment. There are accessible raised beds for food demonstration and growing, children friendly beds and wild spaces for natural play, even

ts areas and sites for biodiversity (for bees, slow worms etc). It provides creative opportunities and openings for all ages to join in, keep active and connected, and maybe make a new friend.

Pop along between 10am-3pm. There will be lots of activities, including garden tours, children's activities, a poetry trail, a plant stall, and of course some yummy cakes & refreshments!

The wildflower meadow turf is down and looks fantastic! Thank you to everyone who has helped fund the project in memory of our wonderful friend Helen (over £2,200 via Just Giving in the end!). Thanks also to our amazing volunteers who have made it happen. It will take a little while for the turf to establish. We'll be sure to post flower photo updates!

We made fantastic progress today with our wildflower meadow. 5 tonnes of low nutrient soil successfully delivered, shovelled and spread!! Next stop - the wildflower turf in a few weeks time. Big shout out to all of our wonderful volunteers.
