Cauda Equina Champions Charity Empowering people with Cauda Equina Syndrome

We are the only UK charity raising awareness of and supporting people living with Cauda Equina Syndrome and supporting people across the world.We have a selection of dedicated services for you to access to help you adjust to life after a Cauda Equina syndrome diagnosis. We can help with advice around recovery from Cauda Equina syndrome, products and devices right through to meditation courses for wellbeing and pain management.

⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE – CaudaEquina App

We want to make all our members aware of an important issue currently affecting our CaudaEquina app.

You may have seen recent news reports that Silicon Practice, the company responsible for hosting our app and a number of other NHS apps, has gone into receivership.

Unfortunately, this means that we are currently unable to access or manage the app while the situation is being resolved.

We have also received reports from some members that the Forms section within My Diary has disappeared.

We would like to reassure members that information entered into My Diary is stored in the My Documents section of the app. This information is private to you and cannot be viewed by other members.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – PLEASE DOWNLOAD YOUR DOCUMENTS

As a precaution, we strongly advise all members to download and safely save any information stored in the My Documents section of the app as soon as possible.

While we hope there will be no further disruption, we cannot rule out the possibility of additional content or functionality being lost before the situation with Silicon Practice is resolved.

We therefore want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to save their important personal information.

Please be assured that this is a much wider issue affecting NHS apps and is not specific to our CaudaEquina app.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep all our members updated as soon as we receive further information.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and concern this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thank you Ipswich Minster for being a huge part of our Light Up Purple for CES campaign helping us to reach communities all across the UK 🙏

Tonight the Minster Spire is lit purple for Cauda Equina Awareness Day.

Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES) is a serious condition caused by compression of the nerves at the bottom of the spinal cord. Recognising the warning signs and seeking urgent medical attention when they occur can be critical, as up to six people are diagnosed with CES each day.

We are proud to stand alongside those affected by Cauda Equina Syndrome and help raise awareness of this important condition.
