Very fortunate Saturday morning dodging the rain showers under the canopy of the trees on the Martholme Greenway, Read, Nr Burnley, repairing a 3m gap with new starters getting some practice rebuilding/ repairing a section of Dry Stone Wall. Under the watchful eye of Marc our Mid-Lancs Branch Advanced Level Instructor.

Good progress enjoyed today on Whalley Nab, Ribble Valley, completing a 10m stretch of roadside wall complete with original curve to the wall and cheek end completed.
Great weather conditions enjoyed all day today (Sunday) bright sun and still air all helped to optimize the Dry Stone Walling conditions for our new starters travelling from Ormskirk, Foulridge and Blackburn,

Preparing today for our Beginners Dry Stone Walling event this weekend over on Whalley Nab, Ribble Valley, great location overlooking Gt Harwood and Read/ Simonstone/ M65 corridor, promises to be a weekend to remember with 5 new starters and our usual Instructors Marc, Phil & Neil T/ also helpers from the Mid Lancs Branch of DSWA.
The section of wall is a double curve which will be an interesting and challenging build for the starters & Mid Lancs team and finish off an interesting roadside wall for Tom the owner/farmer with plans to plant trees to highlight the wall and surrounding panorama!

Mid-Lancs Branch enjoyed a fine August weekend - Beginners Dry Stone Walling August Event at Roughlee, Pendle, building a cheekend and re-building 6m of wall, big thanks to Dawn & Graham for their hospitality and providing a fantastic venue for our mid-summer Event,
