❗️❗️Due to the Red Weather Warning, People First have taken the difficult decision to cancel groups this week. This includes:

👉Bristol Harbourside Walking Group
👉Dance & Drama
👉All face to face meetings on Wednesday and Thursday

We will update you if the Provyder Cup Final on Friday needs to be changed.

☀️The safety of our members is our priority.
🤒Many of us welcome hot weather but when it's too hot, there are health risks.

✅Please ensure you take care during this time of extreme temperature. Here's 20 tips to help you keep cool and safe...

1. Wear a hat in the sun
2. Drink plenty of water
3. Apply sun screen
4. Wear Sunglasses
5. Seek shade
6. Avoid exposing yourself to the sun, especially 11am to 3pm
7. Wear cool lightweight clothes
8. Cover up to avoid sun burn
9. Use a fan if you have one.
10. Close curtains in the home to block the sun
11. Open windows at night when it's cooler.
12. Seek out the coolest rooms in your home to rest.
13. Take a cool shower
14. Apply a cold flannel to head/neck
15. Dip your feet in a bowl of cold water/paddling pool
16. Avoid Exercise and things that may make you hotter
17. Have cold food and regular cold drinks, ice-pops etc.
18. Re-plan activities. Seek cooler places with air conditioning.
19. Note: Dogs are safer without a walk during heat waves
