Keep trying to remember these varieties, such fascinating creatures 🐝

May is a special month for UK bumblebees – the Big Eight are joined by some of our rare and less common species 💛

👑 This month, some of these rare and less common queens will emerge from hibernation. Already active queens will produce their first daughters – the workers 💼

🎱 For the Big Eight, some queens will produce their first workers while others will welcome new males 🚹

Our work party this Sunday 26 April is going to be a tricky one 😬 We need to retrieve old plastic tree guards from overgrown areas so it's going to involve a bit of chopping, hacking and getting scratched 🪓 If you're up for this, make sure you wear your scruffs and meet us at 09.45 at the top of Peveril Drive 🤝
