We were delighted to welcome a group of Health & Social Care students from Buckinghamshire College Group last week for their 1st session on our initiative.

The session focused on building skills and confidence through hands-on learning in nature, including:

πŸ—£ The Communication Triangle team-building activity
πŸ’š A sensory walk to explore wellbeing through nature
πŸ… Practical gardening – potting on cucumbers and tomatoes
πŸ’ͺ Preparing the garden by digging over a new bed ready for planting

Throughout the session, students explored key learning objectives:

βœ… Understanding person-centred care
βœ… Developing awareness of different communication styles
βœ… Experiencing the power of nature in supporting health and wellbeing

Our Seeds of Change initiative, funded by Rothschild Foundation, supports young people and learners to connect with nature while developing personal skills.

We welcome enquiries from any people working with 6-25 year olds.

77% of gardeners in Britain say gardening has a positive impact on their mental health. 76% say it improves their physical health too. 🌱

That's not a coincidence. That's what happens when people connect with nature, move their bodies, and find purpose in something growing.

It's exactly what we see every day at Lindengate. πŸ’š

"I came here not knowing what to expect. I left feeling like myself again."

We hear words like this often at Lindengate. The garden has a way of doing that.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, low mood, loneliness, or simply feeling stuck, there's something powerful about getting your hands in the soil, breathing fresh air, learning new skills, and spending time with people who understand.

Our next 9-week Wellbeing & Nature Course starts on 5th August 2026. Through seasonal nature-based activities, conservation projects, arts and crafts, you'll build confidence, improve wellbeing, and connect with others in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Designed for adults aged 18+ experiencing mild to moderate depression, low mood, anxiety, or those looking to regain confidence and take positive steps towards returning to work.

Curious but not sure if it's for you? Come along for a chat and walk in the gardens.

You don't need a referral to benefit from nature. 🌱

But if you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, did you know that GPs can now refer people to nature-based wellbeing programmes like ours?

Green Social Prescribing is growing across the UK, and Lindengate is right at the heart of it in Buckinghamshire.

Ask your GP, or get in touch with us directly at
