Please come along to the Parish Annual Assembly on Wednesday 20th May at 7pm in the Civic Centre.

We have invited representative's from local groups so you can find out more about what they do in the Parish.

We will also be hearing from some of those groups who have successfully received a Council grant to enable their brilliant work in the community.

Local Councillors will be on hand to answer any questions about local issues and we will have Officers from Hertfordshire County Council who will be able to discuss the recent road marking changes to the Welwyn bypass.

We will be serving light refreshments, including a selection of Katies Bakery quiches.

Hope to see you there!

WHBC has opened a public consultation on another Local Plan. This one has the potential to add 350 homes into Welwyn, and another 100 at Digswell.

There are four weeks left in the consultation period. Welwyn Planning & Amenity Group, Welwyn Parish Council and others have formed a Local Plan Working Group to assess the proposed developments. After several recent meetings prior to the consultation being published, the working group met last week to review the proposals. Further work items were identified.

The group will report back to the community in ten days' time, with recommendations and suggestions for how residents might want to respond to the consultation.

Watch this space, and tell your friends and neighbours about what's going on.

To find out more about the new Local Plan process, WHBC's dedicated website can be found here:
