NEW & Existing SENEDD Members, esp Mabon ap Gwynfor - our New Health Cabinate Minister for Health.... as it is being "quoted" already - our Health Service is at Crisis point!! What is being DONE - NOW URGENTLY to make inroads into improving our Health provision??
โ LAST 17hr Example of - " Powys - Shropdoc OUT OF HOURS" - Not being 'fit for purpose'!!
โ UPDATE: FROM 6.37PM Call to 111 last night initial phone call made -
โThey've just rung BACK NOW 12pm, But that's after two chase phone calls!!! Blamed unstaffing & volumn of Calls. Yes they have to prioritize BUT... geeee...
โHad rung them back in at 10:51am - 52 Mins wait time.... MOST PROBABLY people like OUR FAMILY Ringing back in..... making the whole process a longer wait for EVERYONE!!

โ10:42am Sun AM - still not RUNG BACK...... WTF, sorry!!!
I'm a lay person, but even I know what needs to be prescribed!! Overview case, send a Text to say - prescription at Morrisons for 10am tomorrow, like our Doctors Surgery has - great system! - case dealt with - presuming 111 Clinicans have access to ALL patients Health Records.... do they??
WHY is there no - auto text mesaging system sending out an update on individual cases of approx call return time!! 17hrs waiting.
AGAIN & we wonder WHY 999 is called & if someone can get themselves to Shrewsbury A&E - hence the state of waiting times there too!!! GEEEE.... ......But we are asked to be POLITE!!!!
Sat evening....6.37pm - We rung last night it said 20 mins wait time, so I pressed button to be rung back - "sorry this facility not working." So had to hold on!!
At an 1hr we rang the number from another phone - It then said 94 mins.
โ Total call length of wait on HOLD 1hr 42 mins.
OUR NHS IS IN CRISIS....
โ This example is beyond a JOKE, later last night a lady put up a similar horror story, and a couple of others added theirs too!!!
โ If Newtown had services like Llandod do ie. A&E opening hours 8am - 8pm or even 24hrs - some of these people ringing in from the Newtown & Surrouding Areas could have visited an oncall Clinician at Newtown Hospital..... but Minor Injury can only prescribe up to a certain level. This is an awful state of affairs - We are the Largest Town in Powys and our Out of Hours Services is like we live at the North Pole!!
โ And we wonder WHY residents call 999!!!โ
โ The 111 system asked people to be polite & curtious...... Geeee it does push your patience, when you have a member of your family in need of Medical Assistance, and maybe they physically CAN'T MOVE, to get to a car to travel an hour to Shrewsbury to sit/lie etc etc for another UNKNOWN PERIOD of time!!
โ Our NHS is defo at a Critical State of collaspe..... which ALL MP's, AM's & Local Councillors KNOW!!
โ Get the home turf logistics sorted - which will in turn reduce waiting times on ALL the other VITAL EMERGENCY SERVICES - ie Waiting Times on 111, AMBULANCE SERVICES, A&E, HOSPITAL beds, discharge bed blockers etc etc..... get out Cottage Hospitals working better, Social Home Care & Out of Hours SORTED!!
โ Senedd Members of Gwynedd Maldwyn & our Gov MP's. This urgent situation needs addressing..... URGENTLY...
โ How up to date are your Stats on "OUT OF HOURS" a) answering a 111 call & b) time it takes for a 111 return call from a Clinician??
The above is just an example how we as a family were dealt with yesterday/today..... how many other horror stories are there???
