NOTICE

For the past seven years, we’ve used this page daily to share local news, promote events and support partner organisations, whilst explaining our work and celebrating what’s happening across Newtown.

We’ve decided that now is the right time to bring that daily information service to an end.

As a Community Land Trust we simply don’t have the staff capacity to continue to provide a daily Facebook information service moving forward.

This page may still be used if we have essential information to share, but it will not be updated regularly.

Information about Open Newtown, what we do and how to contact us will continue to be available through our website.

Thank you to everyone who has followed, supported and positively engaged with us over the last seven years.

There's a NEW Game in Town - The Lost Recipe!

Something is missing from Robert Owen’s famous Bara Brith recipe…and we need help to find it!

Introducing Operation Crumb Busters - Beyond Breakout brand new outdoor adventure coming to Newtown Food Festival this weekend.

The exciting bit is the first 100 games are free, all thanks to Newtown Food Festival!

Once those 100 are gone, you can still play the game for £36 per team (a team is 2-6 players).

Will you and your team find the hidden ingredient? Enjoy 😊

🌻 An Invitation for Local Schools & Playgroups! 🌻

Although we’re now closed for the summer, we would love to invite schools and playgroups to visit and pick sunflowers.

It’s a lovely chance for little ones to get outdoors, explore the sunflower field and take home some sunflowers of their own.

🌻 Sunflowers are available to pick for a small charge, with visits available by arrangement on Friday 4th September.

If you know a local school or playgroup please tag them.

Then it’s all hands on deck getting ready for our PYO Pumpkin Patch this October! 🎃🍂
