Angelique knew she should really get on with the next lot of baking... but when of your favourite customer is spilling the tea, and not the kind you have with milk or lemon. A five min gossip session would set her up for the week. And the party at Mulberry Grove and the catering disaster was the stuff of legend.

The basket weaving class was going so well Woodrow couldn't wait to do his next one with a handle.
Olaf wasn't quite as happy with the Glockenspiel he had crafted. It didn't sound as musical as he'd hoped. Back to the drawing board and he realised why. The keys needed to be metal, luckily enough everyone else had congratulated him on the brilliant Xylophone he'd made. Well that secret was safe enough...

Celandine had been so pleased when the book club had decided to hold their monthly meetings in the café. However this week had been somewhat fraught. Mrs. Arbuthnot had suggested Starlight Barking, Mr. Pomeroy wanted Stig of the dump, & Professor Greyson declared Black Beauty was the perfect choice. After lots of tea, cake and shouting the decision was made. They had been in such a hurry to go and get their own copy of The Gruffalo that the cafè had been left looking like a disaster. Sometimes Celandine thought she should just keep quiet and keep out of the customers conversations...
But where was the fun in that.

Onslow knew that it was going to be one of those days. The shop had run out of chocolate milk. The shop assistant had left 10 minutes ago to answer a phone call. Then to top it off his manager had called and told him to hop to it with the shopping for the office break room....
Onslow wouldn't have minded, but how did Mr. Gruff know he'd lost his shoe on the way there. Maybe it was time to look for another career other than a Tax inspector.

Horace and Abigail Hardcastle had know that being parents to triplets was going to be hard work. But they didn't think people realised the hardest bit was naming them. Jenson was easy, Josephine was second born, but for some reason the practice Nurse kept giggling everytime they said Juniper was their third baby. People were weird..

Bob likes cats, as in really likes cats. But Daphne drew the line at adding another to the family. 14 was enough for any family. However his idea of opening a Cattery certainly had merit. They could have cats on loan throughout the year while people enjoyed their holidays.
In the meantime he was just happily stocking up supplies.

The Chemistry lesson was going well until Myrtle decided to add four tablespoons of Baking Soda. Nowhere on the lesson plan did it say what to do in the event of bubbles. Arthur said run, Olaf wanted to pop them, but the Prof said was he was going for a coffee & they could live with the consequences.

Doc Johan really wanted this test to be over. He had a line of patients out the door. But NHS computer security was getting tougher and tougher. Of course he knew what a thermometer and a stethoscope were. But spelling them wasn't quite as easy.

The Events Committee decided that as much as they wanted to be inclusive, the request of Spider races to be added the Family Fun Day was a step too far. They already had the Snail Race, Welly Wanging, Pick a Tube, and Dog Show to organise.
Not to mention bunting and flags to hang. August was going to be busy for all.

Arnold was so pleased with the new disco floor. Just a day to let it set then he would be "cutting a rug" with the rest of the dance class. All he needed to do was find his flares, frilĺed shirt and of course clasic Bee Gees music.
Now the weather has cooled down we are open Monday & Thursday this week.
