Arts La'Olam

Arts La'Olam Arts La'Olam brings excellent live world music performances and workshops to children, families and communities in the UK. Event Notices for a Global Community.

Music Arts and Life combine from participatory workshops in rural areas to music fusion events in town. We are based in East Anglia and have strong links with the World Music Community enjoying a positive exchange with Drum Camp, Southburgh Festival, and local global artists all around the UK. We operate as a booking agency and events production company accessing funding so that we can pay artists

properly and keep events affordable for families. We pay strong attention to audience development - believing a wider world music audience is the answer to everything, more peace, more enjoyment, more health, more love.

Namvula at Colchester Arts Centre on Thursday 21st May and Diss Corn Hall on
Friday 22nd May

Thank you Global Village for supporting us in promoting Namvula’s music!

Namvula is a singer-songwriter whose music explores cultural intersections and heartfelt storytelling. Drawing inspiration from the deep grooves of Africa, the lyrical sensibility of folk-pop, and the improvisational freedom of jazz, her sound reflects the nuances of her Zambian-Scottish heritage and a restlessness born of her diasporic upbringing. Her songs speak to the beauty and complexity of life—its tenderness and cruelty—while weaving in themes of identity, migration, and resilience.

Blue Steps Along the Saffron Trail project. A Climate Justice workshop at Essex Wildlife Trust Belfairs Nature Discovery Centre last Thursday. Thank you for this 70-mile walking project. Thank you for the presentation - all the information and the opportunity for conversation & dreaming up new ideas together. It was fantastic to catch up with and and meet the amazing filmmaker .of.marley as well as lovely chats while walking with and .keshav over her illustrations (in photos)

Arts La’Olam is really excited to see this project develop and as part of our partnership work with we feel extremely privileged to be invited onto the steering group with so many amazing people there.

We are calling for more people to see themselves as custodians of nature and natural spaces, especially where there is water. Water is life, let’s keep it safe and protect its health.

Art can be a powerful way to make positive change in the world. For more information about this project please visit saffrontrail.co.uk and follow
