Saham Toney Community Orchard

Saham Toney Community Orchard Saham Toney Community Orchard has been planted with Norfolk varieties of apples, pears and cherries and belongs to everyone living in the village

06/11/2024

Now managed by Saham Toney Parish Council.

As the orchard now comes under the management of Saham Toney Parish Council we would like to say a big thank you to all those who have supported us over the years. The orchard was the original idea of Paul and Patti Quant who organised fund raising events and received donations from our village community. The fruit trees, all Norfolk heritage varieties, were planted in 2018. Since leaving the village the orchard has been managed by a small group who have managed the funds and purchased some necessary equipment, taken part in events to raise awareness of the orchard and its benefits to the community.
Maintenance, including weeding, grass cutting and pruning has been by local volunteers resulting in some lovely fruit. This work is ongoing so if you would like to volunteer assistance with maintenance or fund-raising activities please contact Gillian Christian Email:[email protected]
Thank you again.
