We would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to the amazing Ava Proctor! 💙🐾

As part of her Civic Award, Ava chose to support Teignbridge & Torbay Cats Protection Branch with her own fundraising event — and what an incredible job she did!

Ava designed her very own poster using our traditional branding, wrote to local businesses asking for donations of sweets, cakes and biscuits, and even made an incredible 150 sweet cones herself for the event. 🍬🧁

The images show Ava proudly selling her goodies at her local football club, where her girls’ team plays, before taking the remaining items into school the following day to continue fundraising.

We are so grateful for all of Ava’s hard work, kindness and dedication to helping cats and kittens in need, by raising £200. You are an absolute superstar, Ava — thank you so much! 🐱✨

CAN YOU OFFER A HOME TO HUGO

We believe Hugo had once been someone’s pet as he was hanging around his finder’s home and loved to wander in her lounge. Sadly, the household’s resident cats were not happy about that.

Although he does get close to people, he needs to regain his confidence and relearn his social skills. So, we’re looking for an owner with plenty experience and who can offer an outside home in a rural location but with a relaxed household always available. Hugo does get on with dogs and other cats but would not be suitable for a home with young children.

CAN YOU OFFER A HOME TO LULU

Lulu is a sweet, playful, cat now looking for her very first home. She’s been with us a little while as she had a few issues that needed sorting with her teeth, which have now been resolved and she is coping really well, enjoying eating her biscuits, wet food, Dreamies and Webbox sticks!

Lulu is such a happy cat, loving playtime with her favourite fish toy and chasing the red laser dot, running around and leaping about. Ideally, she’d like to live in an adult only home, or one with older, cat-aware, children, where someone is around much of the time as she enjoys company. As Lulu hasn’t lived in a home before she may need some time to adjust to life in a household, and the different environment, but she is a happy girl once she knows you and will probably like to explore her new surroundings!

Lulu would prefer to be in a home with no dogs but may be able to live with another cat, after careful introductions. As Lulu has no experience of roads, or cars, she is also looking for a home away from busy roads, with a safe garden she can explore in due course.

CAN YOU OFFER A HOME TO COCONUT & CHEESECAKE

This beautiful pair are three-year-olds Coconut and his sister Cheesecake. Although initially shy, they’re a friendly duo and both love company. Cheesecake (calico colours) really enjoys a lap, so before long she’ll be making herself comfy there. Coconut (white with a little black) relishes lots of stroking and fussing – even more so if Lick-e-lix is on offer!

They’ve been indoor cats but seem so fascinated by the outside world, we feel they’d love a garden to explore. As they’re not used to roads, traffic or other cats, it would ideally be a very safe environment, or perhaps even a catio. They could be OK with cat-aware older children but would probably prefer to be the only pets.
