CMaD’s intent is, as a practical witness to our faith, to share the blessings we receive from God to help those who are in real need in the less developed parts of the world. Established in 1976 Christadelphian Meal-a-Day was originally inspired by the then US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger’s, speech concerning the need to provide at least “one meal a day” to every person on earth. Since then CMaD UK has steadily grown beyond only feeding programs and over 40 years on supports and runs over 50 agricultural, water, health, educational and child protection projects across 23 countries in Africa and Eastern Europe, helping those in real need.

The original classroom block at Namaondo, built by CMaD in 2007, served its community for many years. Sadly, after gradually deteriorating, a storm in early 2025 caused the roof to be blown off, leaving the building unsafe and condemned.

Following its safe demolition, we’re delighted to share that we’ve now been able to fund a brand-new, two-classroom block for PP1 and PP2!

A project we’ve proudly supported for over 25 yeas, the Early Childhood Development (ECD) feeding programme, helps little ones get the nourishment they need to learn, grow and thrive.

We’re so grateful to everyone who makes projects like this possible. This new building represents more than just classrooms — it’s a safer, brighter space for young children to learn, play and build the foundations for their future!

"A world where menstruation is no longer a source of stigma, where every girl can manage her period with dignity, remain in school, and achieve her full potential"

At Botoro E.L.C.K Primary School in Kisii County, Kenya, girls and young mothers took part in an important menstrual health programme delivered by Days for Girls, in partnership with Dignity Drive.
The girls received reusable sanitary kits and practical guidance on menstrual hygiene, puberty, reproductive health and personal safety. The session created a safe space where young women could ask questions and talk openly about subjects that are often surrounded by stigma and embarrassment.
Boys were included as part of the "Men Who Know" programme, helping them understand menstrual health and encourage them to be supportive, break down stigma and embarrassment.
For some girls, the cost and availability of sanitary products can be a real barrier, while embarrassment and stigma can make it difficult to ask for help. Providing both knowledge and reusable sanitary products can make a lasting difference — helping girls stay confident, participate in school and continue their everyday activities without menstruation holding them back.
Every girl deserves to manage her period with dignity and the opportunity to reach her full potential.

Last Saturday, 25 cyclists took on the Test Valley in Hampshire and what a fantastic achievement! A huge thank you to Tim Webborn, Malcolm Latham and Newbury for organising the ride, and to everyone who took part, supported the event and helped make the day such a success. Together, an amazing £1,125 was raised towards providing cooking stoves, tables and seating for the children at Crown City School in Kenya. These practical improvements will make a real difference to the children and the school community. Well done to all 25 riders and thank you to everyone who helped, donated and supported the event! Your efforts are helping to turn miles into meaningful change

MAY We Eat ~ Week 1 | Day in the life of a Kenyan Child

For many children in Kenya, the day begins as early as 4:00am: fetching water, sweeping, and caring for siblings before the long walk to school, sometimes covering 5km or more on an empty stomach.

School itself is demanding. Lessons start by 7:00am and can stretch until 5:00 or 6:00pm with Saturday attendance often required. For many pupils, lunch is not guaranteed making the feeding programmes funded by donors through Meal-a-Day not just helpful but essential.

At home, the responsibilities continue. Homework is often completed by torchlight, and rest is a rare luxury.

Yet through it all, these children show remarkable resilience and a deep commitment to learning. Education is their pathway out of poverty, and with the right support, that pathway becomes a little clearer every day.

It costs around £5 to feed a school child for a month in Kenya – please consider giving a monthly donation to support a child through their early years!
