​A huge thank you to everyone who came out to Moat House - Tamworth's Stately Home for the monthly charity Music Bingo, which this month, was in support of the Simon’s Heroes! 💛✨

​Thanks to your amazing generosity, brilliant energy, and local community spirit, we raised a fantastic £331 to help local children and their families! 👏 Thank you to Anthony Poulton-Smith and the Moat House team for organizing and running such a brilliant event! 🙌

​Every penny raised goes directly toward making a real difference in children's lives across our community. Thank you all for showing up, supporting, and making it a great night!

🏇 THEY’RE UNDER STARTER’S ORDERS… OUR VIRTUAL HORSE RACE NIGHT IS BACK! 🏇

We’re delighted to launch our next Simon’s Heroes fundraising event — an action-packed Virtual Horse Race Charity Night, with all the excitement unfolding on the big screen!

📅 Friday 6th November 2026
📍 The Globe Inn, Lower Gungate, Tamworth
🚪 Doors open at 6.30pm
🏁 Racing and food from 7pm
🎟️ Tickets: £13 per person
🔞 Minimum age: 16 years

Your ticket includes a delicious fish and chip supper, with a halloumi option also available, plus a full evening of racing, entertainment and friendly competition.

You can also buy and name a horse for just £5, with prizes for the winning owners on the night. We’ll have a raffle too, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs!

Every ticket, horse and raffle entry will help Simon’s Heroes continue making a real difference to local children and their families. 💛

💙 A Huge Thank You to Co-op Church Street, Tamworth! 💙

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the team and customers at Co-op Church Street, Tamworth, who have made an incredible donation of £559.35 to Simon's Heroes through their popular Donate & Buy Book Sale.

Although the store has sadly now closed its doors, the team kept the book sale running right up until their final day of trading, showing their continued commitment to supporting local charities and the families we help.

Over the years, the book sale alone has raised an amazing £2,500+ for Simon's Heroes, making a real difference to the children and families we support.

Their support has gone far beyond fundraising too. Co-op Church Street has kindly helped us in many other ways over the years, including: ☕ Donating supplies for our tea and coffee stall at our running events 🎄 Supporting Christmas Jumper Days 💌 Making donations instead of sending Christmas cards

We are incredibly grateful for everything the store team and customers have done for Simon's Heroes. Their generosity, kindness and community spirit have made a lasting impact.

We would like to wish all of the staff the very best for the future and whatever comes next. Thank you for your years of support and kindness, you will be greatly missed by the local community.

We’re delighted to assist Wyatt, an 8-year-old with complex additional needs, by funding a specialist wheelchair and repairs to his garden fencing, helping to keep him safe both at home and when out in the community.
